However, I constantly get an “Error” message with no elaboration/reasoning behind what the error is when entering expenses manually. I have attempted to contact support numerous times and they simply do not respond. I paid I believe $60+ for the year subscription, only to run into these strange problems with no help. I will likely need to change applications. ### 1/5 — Prospective Users Beware: *2023-07-12, version 3.2* You will pay this company money, whether you plan to or not. I have just neared the end of my "Free" 2-week trial period, and have yet to discover how to successfully Cancel my account. From what I can tell, you must pay them either the monthly fee (currently $5.99 per month as of July 2023), or the annual fee (currently $59.99 per year as of July 2023) in order to THEN have the ability to cancel your account AFTER you pay. And to be honest, I'm not yet certain that I will be able to "Cancel my renewal" (as they put it) even now that I have opted for the monthly subscription. Good Luck, You have been warned! ### 2/5 — BEWARE — effective tracker, bad customer service *2022-09-24, version 3.2* I subscribed to this app for several years and it was good for what I needed. Trips can be recorded and categorized easily, almost effortlessly. BUT… I stopped driving much and tried to cancel the subscription. I was anyway rebilled. Subscriptions are handled by email and the company is not responsive. I’m having to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Probably better to find an app that works through Apple’s in-app purchases. ### 1/5 — Cancellation *2022-09-17, version 3.2* I have been trying to cancel account for over a week. I have emailed several times and reached out in the chat but no one responds and my account is still active. I follow the instructions listed on the website however still no cancellation. ### 1/5 — Easy to use but AWFUL customer service *2022-07-26, version 3.2* I do NOT recommend this app to any driver who suspects they will need any sort of customer support at any time. This app easily helps me classify work drives vs personal drives. I used it for 3 years while I traveled for my job. After Covid, my job transitioned into fully virtual so I no longer needed the account. You cannot cancel your membership online or through the app; you must do it through customer service number or message. I have been trying for 2 months to cancel my membership and have not been able to have a representative communicate back with me via customer support online, email, or phone. I have made over 15 attempts to communicate and cancel at this time. I have also been charged for these two months. I have asked for a refund of payment but of course have had no success with that either. All apps are the same not i have tried has stayed consistent. To get hold of support is even worse. ### 1/5 — Cancellation failures *2022-06-09, version 3.2* The service was good when I needed it, but I tried to cancel more than 2 years ago. They have now charged me $59.99 3 times since my initial attempt to end my subscription. The only way I could find to cancel was by e-mail, and I have sent them several messages and never seen a single response. I know I’m not the only person who has experienced this issue. Apple should not continue to allow them to set up subscriptions through this app until they offer a way to cancel that actually works for everyone. I hope that this gets someone’s attention, otherwise I will see what my bank can do. If you are considering subscribing and I have not updated this review with a positive resolution, I would not trust SherpaShare. ### 1/5 — No support *2022-05-18, version 3.2* The app has been down for a week now and not recording miles for a lot of customers. Emailed support and nothing! I tried logging out and now it says “error” when I try to log back in or when I say “forgot password” won’t let me do anything. Won’t send my messages to the chat and the emails I send come back as non existent email! I want my money back!!!! ### 1/5 — Awful- need a refund *2025-08-21, version 3.2* Used this for years. Tracked my miles with zero issues. This year nothing is tracked and it won’t save my expenses. Paid the annual fee and there is no one to contact. Then they put out strange messages, & upon investigation their website said that customer mileage data would not be recorded after 12/31/24 despite the fact that they charged my CC in April 2024. Like a chameleon, it appears that they just reopened under a new name, Simple Mileage Tracker, identical software. Tax records for 2024 were lost. No honesty. SherpaShare is great at tracking miles and prompting me to designate my drives. It’s best to keep up right after the ride or they pile up fast. Make categories, tracks miles and receipts, maintenance, expenses etc. with ease! In addition you can do it on the web for even more control to generate Summaries, Reports, Excel sheets and it is all saved to the cloud in case of phone loss. Not to mention great tools for ride share built in. There is no need to convince anyone. You get 3 months free. Try it. Earn more money. Document more deductions. It’s simple. ### 5/5 — What you need come tax time *2018-09-15* I’m a new ride share driver and this app is what your looking for. When I start my shift, I have to make sure my tires are good, my car is clean, gas is filled, turn my app on, etc. SherpaShare automatically turns on so I don’t have to think about it. It’s easy to separate personal trips from work trips. You get to see how many miles you have driven and how much of a tax return you can expect in real time.
