## What is Shia Calendar?

Keep track of Shia anniversaries and Moon in Scorpio periods with Shia Calendar.

Browse Gregorian and Hijri calendars with separate Celebration, Commemoration and Moon in Scorpio categories. Choose the calendars you want to see, tap marked days for event details and follow references to the original source.

Manage reminders in one place, by calendar. Choose when to be reminded before every Celebration or Commemoration, or before each Scorpio period begins. You can also receive a notification when a Scorpio period ends. Changes save automatically, and the next scheduled reminder is shown with its date and time.

Features:
• English and Arabic, with right-to-left Arabic layouts.
• Light, Dark and System appearance settings.
• Clear markers for today, your selected date and each event category.
• Scorpio start and end times in your device’s timezone, with Najaf time in event details.
• Expandable Upcoming events with countdown labels.
• Offline calendar data; no account, advertising or tracking.
• Original source dates, alternative narrations and PDF page references.

Hijri dates follow the source calendar and may differ from confirmed religious month starts in your region. The source timezone is interpreted as Najaf, UTC+03:00, as explained in the app. Shia Calendar is independent and is not affiliated with Sistani’s office.

Reminders require notification permission. Open the app regularly to refresh the nearest reminders because iOS limits pending notifications. Delivery depends on your device’s notification and Focus settings. Later calendar years require a data update.
