## What is Shift Buddy?

The one calendar built for shift workers — Shift Buddy.

- Day, evening, night and off shifts sorted by color, a whole month at a glance.
- This month's pay calculated automatically — night premium and paid leave included.
- Schedule a different wake-up alarm for each shift, subject to your device settings.
- Pick a common rotation and the whole month fills itself in.
- Share your schedule with your team — see who's off and when you're off together.
- 25 themes to make it yours (light, dark and animated backgrounds).

No ads. Basic features are available without logging in.

Shift calendar, work rota, roster, night shift, 4 on 4 off, overtime pay, timesheet, nurse duty and shift alarms in one app.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.7 — 2026-09-28

• Resetting or changing a pattern now keeps past days and shifts you entered yourself.
• Backups with data from older versions now restore on a new phone.
• Shifts without set hours now count toward work days and hours, plus screen reader fixes.

### 1.1.6 — 2026-09-26

• If an alarm fails to set, the app now retries right away and warns you on the Alarm tab if it still can't.
• Settings switches now read correctly with screen readers.

### 1.1.5 — 2026-09-25

• You can now mark a shift type as a day off separately. Shifts without set times now show as your next shift.
• Swipe down to close the day panel.
• Simplified the account and group screens.
• You can now reset a repeating pattern in one tap.
• Preview how each widget looks on the widgets screen.
• The app lock (passcode) has been removed.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-09-24

Fixed an issue where the app closed right after opening on iOS 27.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-09-21

• Invite links now open the app directly. Before, they showed a blank page.
• The team owner can revoke sent invite links at any time — no need to wait for them to expire if a link ends up in the wrong place.
• Re-applying a start date to a shift pattern now updates the whole next year, not just the current month. This fixes shifts that looked off at the turn of the month.
• Fixed a mismatch where the app language and the default shift names were in different languages (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Portugal and others).
• Fixed calendar export (.ics): long notes no longer break the file, re-exporting after changing shifts updates your calendar, and multiple profiles no longer overwrite each other.
• Invite codes are now recognized even when you paste a whole conversation, and the first-time setup screen no longer gets cut off on small screens.
