## What is Shiftd?

View your schedule, pick up open shifts, and stay connected with your team — all from your phone.

Shiftd gives healthcare staff instant access to their work schedules with month, week, and day views. When new shifts open up, sign up directly from the app. Need a day off? Submit time-off requests, trade shifts with coworkers, or give away a shift — all with built-in approval workflows.

Schedule at a Glance See your upcoming shifts, hours worked this week, and pending requests on a single dashboard. Color-coded shift types and role badges make it easy to scan your week.

Self-Service Shift Signup Browse available shifts during open signup windows or supplemental periods. Sign up with a tap, withdraw if plans change. Tier-based limits keep things fair.

Requests & Trades Request time off, propose shift trades, or offer shifts for pickup. Track every request from submission through approval. Push notifications keep you updated on decisions.

Stay in the Loop Receive broadcast messages from your scheduling team. Push notifications alert you to schedule changes, new shifts, and request updates.

Secure & Private Face ID login, privacy controls for your contact info, and department-scoped data isolation. Your schedule, your terms.

- Shift Signup now keeps your place — after you sign up for or withdraw from a shift, you stay on the week you were viewing instead of jumping back to the start of the schedule.

- Shift Signup now explains itself when a sign-up or withdrawal can't go through — you'll see a clear message like "You have reached the weekly signup limit" or "That shift may no longer be available, or your schedule changed. Refresh and try again." instead of a confusing technical error.

- Shift tags now show throughout the app (e.g. Hot, Call, Preceptor, etc.) — tags appear on your Schedule and Dashboard,
 and are included in synced calendar event titles, so you can tell shift types apart at a glance.

- New: direct and group messaging with coworkers.
- Added in-app feedback from Settings.
- Fixed coworker cards in Schedule so imported Night Shift rows merge into one card with the right people, instead of splitting by call, role, or partial-time rows.
