However, I recently had an issue where an employer canceled the job after I showed up. Since our contract says they must pay for four hours if they cancel within 24 hours, I agreed to stay until the other person showed up just in case something happened. I figured they might as well use me while they were paying me anyway. I immediately notified shiftNOW. Needless to say, the other person showed more than an hour late. I left when he showed. Then, I didn’t get paid for the four hours; I only got paid for two. ShiftNOW did not honor the contract that we as contractors have with ShiftNOW. It doesn’t matter what contract they have with the employer. **Developer response:** Hi there! According to shiftNOW's policy, if a business sends a Shifter home early, the business can adjust the shift duration before payout to reflect the amount of time worked. If the payment you received does not match the number of hours you stayed at the shift, please note that you may dispute your payment within the mobile app within 72 hours of the shift's end time. ### 3/5 — Terrible tech setup. *2024-06-13* The set up is very annoying because they don’t even tell you what areas they are located in. It makes you finish your profile in order to see any shifts at all. First of all you need to show shifts in order to show that companies are working with you and folks are not wasting time. Second in some form show where you reside at. Filling this out and finding out it’s not even in my area is annoying. This said only SC and TN cities. Either this company didn’t make sure only those areas have access, didn’t update, or they forgot how big the world is and folks won’t drive a days worth of hours for one shift. If your not in SC or TN waste of time and they won’t tell you that on there you have to fill it all out to see anything that’s a shift. **Developer response:** Hi there. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@shiftnow.com. ### 3/5 — Had to put something!! *2024-05-23, version 1.12.9* Tried to make a profile but they are not in Texas! 😒 ### 1/5 — IT WILL NOT ACCEPT MY PROFILE VIDEO!!! *2024-02-15* I have tried plenty of times to do a profile video in a light setting and dim setting, neutral colored shirts no patterns, smiling following the things it has told me to and it keeps rejecting my profile video tho I keep trying it has really taken a mental toll on me I have followed the profile video tips to a tea following my written and thought out script: Hi my name is name insert , I’m from place insert, I started working this year and my skill set includes janitorial services and mystery shopping, I have done plenty of shift and tempt gig jobs that include being employed by circle k and 7 eleven AND NOT WORKS **Developer response:** We're sorry to hear that you've had a frustrating experience. You can’t pass the set up wallet screen because the button doesn’t work. Thanks for your hard work! ### 5/5 — I Love this app service.. *2024-02-25* This is such an amazing app, for the capabilities of meeting new people, trying out different establishments, paid in 24/48hrs after the shift. Truly an awesome idea and app!! As a recommendation though it needs to change the close off for the employers to be capable of editing for the open shifts. Like the wedding banquet we did last night, if they only needed two or three people at first, but then ended up going to need 5, there only option is to cancel the whole shift, thus losing the 2-3 people already confirmed for it and risk them not reapplying and getting them back into the shift. Plus us shifters and the employer can’t message or talk to each other through here, so lacking communication capability incase of a change. Only have a running late quick response with 2 or 3 times me increments to choose and send for us, and just a cancel shift for the employer option. **Developer response:** We're so happy to hear that you're loving shiftNOW and we sincerely appreciate your feedback! If a shift begins in less than 24 hours, it cannot be edited; however, the business can post a new shift in the event they need more Shifters. When a new shift is posted, Shifters in the area will be notified and can apply. This also allows accepted Shifters to keep their shift and avoid having to reapply. Shifters who have been accepted to work a shift may contact the business they are working for through our in-app calling feature. In-app calling is available to Shifters up to two (2) hours before the shift's scheduled start time and up to one (1) hour after the shift's scheduled end time.
