## What is ShiftPayday?

Know your next paycheck before payroll does.

ShiftPayday turns your rate, hours, overtime, night premium and deductions into a take-home estimate you can check against your payslip — before the money lands.

The calculator is free, forever:
- Enter your hourly rate and hours worked, and set when overtime starts and what it pays
- Add night hours and a night differential
- Estimate tax, pension, and union deductions
- See your take-home instantly, with a full gross-to-net breakdown

No account. No sign-up. No paywall on the math.

ShiftPayday Premium adds the tracker:
- Save up to 5 jobs, each with its own pay rules
- Log real shifts and watch a running take-home total build across the pay period
- Count down to payday, with an optional reminder the day before
- Keep a pay history and see whether each check moved up or down

Why people use it:
- Spot paycheck surprises before payroll lands
- Sanity-check what an extra shift is actually worth
- See how overtime, night premiums, and deductions change take-home pay
- Keep an honest record of what you earned, period by period

Everything is stored on your device. Estimates only — your real paycheck depends on your employer's exact rules.

ShiftPayday Premium is an auto-renewing subscription: $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 2.0.0 — 2026-10-13

ShiftPayday 2.0 is a shift and pay tracker built around your pay period.
- Four tabs: This period, Shifts, Paychecks, Calculator.
- Overtime is now counted per week, the way your payslip counts it, not per pay period. If you worked two 40-hour weeks, you no longer see overtime you did not earn.
- Night premium comes from your shift times. Set an unpaid break per shift, or as an automatic rule.
- Weekly, every-two-weeks, twice-a-month and monthly pay schedules, with a payday countdown and reminder.
- Log a shift in seconds from the Log shift button, or tap "Just finished?".
- Dark mode.
Every take-home is an estimate from the tax and deduction rates you set.
