A fantastic variety of dishes organised in a simple to navigate library. The teacher is so approachable and makes every class and recipe feel relaxed and enjoyable. The recipes are amazing, everything I’ve made has turned out delicious and full of flavour. The app is incredibly easy to use too, it’s well-designed, smooth, and makes following recipes effortless. There is such a community feel and everyone talks to each other like they’re besties! Fabulous resources including videos and recipe downloads. ### 5/5 — Super Indian cuisine learning, libraries etc *2025-10-14, version 3.26.0* I have been a member of Shikshak (Indian for “teacher”) since its outset. Run by Monica Haldar (who has been on The Hairy Bikers), she offers live cooking once a month via Zoom, whereby all members can follow and query as they go along. All dishes come from different parts of India which make it extra special. The library of dishes are comprehensive and include follow-along videos as well as the necessary ingredients and written instructions. “Classroom” courses are also available around the Midlands for face to face workshops and lessons. Whereas originally, all this was via web browsers, this App brings it all together in a neat way, making access to the comprehensive contents, easy and enjoyable. Although membership is not free, this App provides an extremely useful selection of free recipes and tips. ### 5/5 — Simple recipes and delicious food *2025-10-14, version 3.26.0* An incredibly user friendly app which gives you easy access to the massive variety in cuisine India has to offer.
