I stood next to a colleague using a similar app (Marine traffic ships & wind) and his app found all the ships but this app couldn't find the 600 ft ship right next to me. It did show a 6 month old area the ship had been in last October. I say pass on this app.

It's not free and it doesn't work. It's very confusing and I cannot understand how to work it. It looks like I  have to purchase the full version to see anything at all.

Upon start, I was presented with a text entry field asking for some kind of license. DEMO is pre filled, so I just clicked Next.
After that, the application does not work: I just get an error popup over and over again.

We really like the app, very easy to use and good data on the vessels. We would highly recommend to anyone who needs to track vessels for work or who are just interested in ships.

Neat that I can look up my favorite cruise ship and see where it has been lately.  But the graphics on my iPad version needs some work, for instance the grid patterns which divide the earth into quadrants sometimes obscure the vessel or track underneath it.  Fix that and I give this 5 stars.

This seems set up well, but the information is completely inaccurate. The vessel positions are days old, and harbors full of ships are empty according to the app.
