Turn your phone sideways. shiver is a short-video app where every clip is horizontal. 16:9, edge to edge, the way a camera actually sees the world — no cropped heads, no black bars, no squeezed vertical frame. You hold your phone like a screen, and the picture fills it. A FEED THAT FITS THE FRAME Clips play full-width the second you open the app. Swipe for the next one, or switch on auto-scroll and let it run. The next clips are already loaded, so nothing spins in between. FIVE WAYS TO BROWSE • For You — a personal mix that learns from what you actually watch to the end • Following — only the creators you picked • Nearby — choose a city and see what people post there (you pick the place; shiver never asks for your GPS) • Hot — what is picking up speed right now • New — the freshest uploads first GESTURES BUILT FOR ONE HAND • Tap the top of the screen for the previous clip, the bottom for the next • Tap the middle to pause and play • Press and hold for 2× speed • Double-tap to like POST IN LANDSCAPE Pick a clip from your library, write a caption, add hashtags, publish. 16:9 is the sweet spot and square (1:1) is the widest we take — portrait clips are not supported, on purpose. Every caption and hashtag is checked automatically against our Community Guidelines before a clip can appear in anyone's feed, and anything you report is reviewed by a person. TALK TO PEOPLE Like, comment, reply in threads, share, save clips for later, follow creators and send direct messages. The Activity tab collects every like, comment and new follower in one place. DISCOVER Search videos, browse trending hashtags, and open a hashtag to see everything posted under it. SEE HOW YOUR CLIPS PERFORM Creator insights show views, average watch time, a retention curve across the length of your video, and your like, comment and share rates — so you can see exactly where people stayed and where they left. The same goes for a creator's referral link. PROMOTED CLIPS Promoted clips can now appear in the feed. They are marked as ads, they come from other shiver accounts, and they never make up more than one clip in five. No ad network, no advertising identifier, no tracking. shiver Premium keeps them out entirely. FIXED On iPhone the share sheet would not open. It does now, and the line above the link is translated. The share counter counted every tap. It counts once per person and clip. At the last clip a swipe now says so too, not only a tap. The bell was sometimes empty after launch even though reactions existed. Older ones can now be loaded. Also: after opening a shared link the back button appeared to do nothing. The clip was on the stack twice, so going back landed on the same clip.
