### 5/5 — Love this fitness app!

*2020-05-13, version 1.16*

I was lucky enough to be a winner in a promotion of a free month of using this app. While it’s geared more for women, as a guy, I find that it’s a great workout and works muscles for me that some of the apps made specifically for men, wouldn’t. This happened right as quarantine started and I was excited to get into a workout routine and keep busy and fit! I love that this one app covers multiple areas! I can use it to count a walk, a run, and it has 7-12 minute workouts that I can do in the morning to get my day started right and then I can come back later for the more intense 20-30 minute workout. I sweat more with this app than other fitness apps I’ve tried and in the month I’ve used it, I’ve lost almost 5 lbs! While I live paycheck to paycheck and don’t have much money to spare after bills, I’ll definitely do my best to budget so I can buy this app! Love it and the results I’m seeing!

### 5/5 — Awesome. The best app out there in the Apple store! That girl is pretty too!

*2020-05-12, version 1.16*

These folks know what they’re doing

Awesome app

### 5/5 — Love this program!

*2020-04-06, version 1.15*

I can’t say enough about this!

First- I love the efficiency! These workouts are short and effective!

Second- I love the flexibility! I can do the workout I choose, on the day and time I choose.

Third- I love that there are modifications. If something doesn’t work for my body one day, there’s another version of the exercise that does! And this program shows you a modification for everything. I don’t use them often, but it’s great to know they’re there!

Fourth- I got to choose my fitness goals and my starting fitness level, so the workouts are completely tailored to my body!

Lastly- I love the timer and the demonstrations. I know exactly what I need to do when! No confusion!

I love this program! I highly recommend it!

### 5/5 — Simple and effective App

*2020-03-30, version 1.15*

The workouts are straightforward and effective. I love the simple design of the app and the progression through the weeks. I do wish that there was a selection on the cardio to mark it as already complete because switching between too many apps while doing cardio can be frustrating but it’s not a big turn off. All in all I love it and am very pleased with the workouts. I’d recommend it to anyone that wants a simple but efficient workout app that they can do anywhere.

### 5/5 — Amazing Workouts!

*2020-03-28, version 1.15*

For the first time I am excited to workout. I have been trying to find a program for a few months that excites me and motivates me to move my body and workout. These workouts really get you moving and sweating and I love how I feel after. The videos showing you what to do are super helpful and the layout of the app is easy to navigate. I never thought I’d be the type to look forward to a workout, but this program is amazing and has me hooked!

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2020-03-27, version 1.15*

Have already been using this app before my gym closed for covid19 and absolutely loved it. The app reached out to me when I dropped my star rating for unable to use at my gym but still had to pay for app. They compensated me, thank you shock! Looking forward to getting back in the gym as soon as it re opens!

### 5/5 — Great workout!

*2020-03-24, version 1.14*

I love this app. Easy to follow. I’m able to workout at home and feel like I’m getting a full workout done.

### 5/5 — Great exercise app at home

*2020-03-21, version 1.14*

It has a great range of exercises and made staying at home with limited equipment very accessible and easy

### 5/5 — One of my favorite workout apps

*2020-03-21, version 1.14*

It’s hard to find an app that is as simple and clean as Shock. This is one of the few apps that I’m looking forward to doing every day! I highly recommend, and yes I have tried the sweat app already.

### 5/5 — BEST fitness app, better than BBG!

*2020-03-21, version 1.14*

I’ve used multiple fitness apps, the SWEAT app and Fit by Katy, to name a few and the SHOCK fit app is by far my favorite! The app is entirely user friendly, the workouts are so incredibly easy to follow and I’m not exaggerating when I say they feel like they’ve been perfectly tailor to my own abilities. They’re great for in the gym or at home and all around just really effective. If you’re looking for a fitness app I HIGHLY recommend it. Plus, the creators are the kindest people!!

### 5/5 — Accessible, easy & for everyone!

*2020-03-12, version 1.14*

I love this app. I love the guided workouts, the customization, how quick and easy it is. So basically everything. I truly think it’s can benefit people of all shapes, sizes, and skill levels. It shows videos of how to do each move, which helps relieve stress and help you focus on correct form. Though I’ve been in fitness for a long time, I think everyone can benefit and learn something. Thanks guys!

### 5/5 — Recommend

*2020-03-02, version 1.14*

This app walks you step-by-step how to complete a thorough workout and it hits all the muscle groups too. It’s timed and super easy to understand. I highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Prefect for busy women!

*2019-12-18, version 1.11*

I love this app because I am able to workout in 30 minutes or less. So many options for focused body part workout as well. I would highly recommend!

### 5/5 — LOVE!!!

*2019-10-24, version 1.08*

Amazing app! I’ve tried so many fitness apps and this is the first I’ve been able to stick with long term. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Great Fitness App!

*2019-10-08, version 1.07*

This is a great app for anyone who likes to work out in the privacy of their own home. Using minimal equipment, you get a great full body workout. I especially like how there are core exercises incorporated into every zone. This app definitely makes me push myself a little harder than I probably would working out on my own. The workouts end up taking a little longer than they say because you have to transition between exercises, and there are rest periods factored in as well, so you have to plan accordingly. I definitely recommend this app to anyone looking for a fun, challenging at home workout!

### 5/5 — Love this workout app

*2019-04-10, version 1.03*

I have struggled to find a good workout app and I’m also the type of person where I can loose interest quickly. About 2 years ago I joined Orangetheory Fitness. It was great it got me on track with fitness and it was something I can stick to because it wasn’t boring. Every class was different. The only thing that made me quit after about a year was it was very expensive and it was adding up. I tried to find a way to have that Orangetheory style workout at home. I tried other apps including the popular Sweat app but wasn’t able to stick to it. Something was missing. When I saw the ad for the shock app I downloaded it and was like ok let me give this one a try for the free week. I was hooked after a couple days. I was so happy that this has been something I was looking for. I have now stuck with a routine workout using this app for about a month now. I know it’s still a short period but it feels like an app I will stick to for a while. My only suggestion for any future updates is for some moves I look at the alternative move I wish there was a way of when you begin the workout to have the alternative show so that way you don’t have to remember back at what was the alternative move for this one? I hope it makes sense. But otherwise it’s a great app. I already recommended this app to my coworkers who are trying to get back in shape and can’t go to the gym because they have small kids.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Rip Off

*2019-12-14*

Guys I would go to the gym and do some classes before getting ripped off by this app. They are seeking money.

**Developer response:** Hi,

We are so sorry you feel this way. SHOCK offers a 7-day free trial so that you can try our app and cancel at no charge. At the end of the 7-days, you are charged the amount of the subscription you chose. Please let us know if you have any questions or need further clarification: support@shocktraining.com

### 1/5 — Needs more options frustrating to use

*2019-09-17, version 1.07*

Frustrating to use when you have such limited options even to fast forward to go back or skip. You have to start over and no weightless options if you don’t have equipment. Wish I could get my money back but too late

### 2/5 — Repetitive

*2020-06-10, version 1.16*

If your someone who likes very simple and repetitive this app is for you. Very little variety which is what I prefer.

### 4/5 — Good app, great workouts

*2021-08-09, version 1.32*

I tried the app with a free trial for the first time today. The workout was great. I liked the way it kept me going. One thing I would like to see is maybe a “start here” section in the app with best practices. Like step 1, pick your workout, step 2 get your playlist going, step 3 this is how the work outs go…explaining how the heart rate thing works, how long the intervals are, when to rest etc. I also would have loved to know how much total time was left in the workout. I can convince myself to keep going if I know it’s only a few more minutes but when I have no idea I tend to give up early. Also, I didn’t see a cool down so I did my own stretches. I’m going to keep using the app, it’s extremely convenient and the workout was moves I had mostly not done before which is a nice change.

### 5/5 — Love this app! 💕

*2023-02-24, version 1.32*

I recently just discovered this app. I was looking for a fun app with cardio and strength training mixed in and this is it! I’ve tried many well known fitness apps and this has been my favorite!

### 5/5 — Best workout app for active seniors

*2021-01-01, version 1.20*

As a woman over 65, I have found this app to be almost perfect. I have been using it for over 21 weeks now, on average 5 days per week. The only modifications I have made are for high impact/jumping type exercises. I do fewer of these or take the impact down a bit, just for safety. I do love the variety of exercises and the surprise of a new workout every day.
As a result, my core and back have never been stronger or more stable. I feel flexible and tight, something that is so hard to obtain at this age. I am able to sustain a working heart rate of around 140 during “Shock” parts of the workouts and to gradually increase my weights as time has gone on. I started at Level 1, increased to Level 2 and may try Level 3 soon. I have tried the Live sessions and plan to do more of those as time goes on.
Finally, I have found Customer Service to be fabulous for this app. It’s great to have this team with me in my fitness journey.

### 5/5 — Awesome Fitness App

*2020-09-13, version 1.17*

Am on a 7-day trial. Love the App! Once i purchase a subscription, can the app be shared with multiple devices ie: iphone, apple watch and ipad?

Thanks

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2020-09-08, version 1.17*

I love that this app is created for women. I’m a beach volleyball player and it’s great to have cross training options on days I’m not playing. It’s also nice to be able to personalize what you are looking for. I was a fan of Orange Theory but prefer this app because there isn’t a big wait while exercises are explained. If you need to know how to do something you can click for more info. I like that it communicates with my Apple Watch and that I don’t have to listen to music chosen by the app. So easy to follow and a great workout with a lot of flexibility.

### 5/5 — Best fitness app I’ve used

*2020-09-03, version 1.17*

I can not recommend the SHOCK app enough. It has been the only thing that has got me through quarantine. The workouts are channeling but fun. Anyone has 25 mins to get an amazing workout in. I highly recommend this app over its competitors because it is truly made for women and is unlike anything else!

### 5/5 — Well-designed app

*2020-08-28, version 1.17*

Great app, the workouts are targeted to your lifestyle and level of fitness!

If I had one request it would be to add a weekly planner page so that you could schedule your workouts for particular days of the week and see what you had planned for each day.

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Variety + Accessible from anywhere

*2020-08-03, version 1.17*

I love how this apps offers so much variety of exercises with very clear instructions. It keeps it fresh and helps me stay motivated. All of the workouts can be done from home which is great for these social distancing/quarantine times for those of us who are still avoiding the public gyms. These workouts can truly be done from anywhere, love this flexibility.

### 5/5 — It’s exactly what I needed

*2020-07-10, version 1.17*

I have nothing but great things to say about this app. I wanted something that was under 30 minutes, a combo of cardio and strength, with a focus on all parts of the body and this app delivers. I can adjust the workouts based on what I am focusing on and my ability level. There’s endless weeks of workouts, and some of the moves get repetitive but that doesn’t bother me at all. It’s simple to use...no frills which I love. It requires minimal equipment which is great for home workouts. No cheesy motivational speaking, just great simple workouts with timers, beeps to trigger new rounds and connectivity to my music. The best part is that I can bring my routine with me wherever I go and I can do these workouts even in a small hotel rooms. Best part is that the price is SO reasonable for the number of workouts you have available. My only watch out is that if you are looking for a more cardio focused workout routine, this probably isn’t your jam. If you get your cardio from running or through another app and you want to supplement with weight training, this is the one for you. Couldn’t recommend it more!

### 5/5 — Great App! 👏🏼

*2020-06-02, version 1.16*

Was seriously in need of a workout app that actually worked, this is the one! Love the workouts and I enjoyed my time using the app.

### 5/5 — Very resourceful

*2020-05-20, version 1.16*

I actually am enjoying this app. It’s a lot harder of workouts than I expected. The more you get into it the harder it gets! It challenges me and I love that.
