This is actually a great app. If making drones with a ton of virtual analog polyphony sounds up your alley, buy this.you can also do expressive theremin style leads too

Sono stato beta tester di questa versione 1.2. Yuri é uno sviluppatore di grandissimo talento ed i suoni che si possono ottenere con shoom sono ineguagliabili. Ho tutti i synths per iOS ma questo é davvero unico. 5 stelle meritatissime.

Shoom is by far the best and most expressive synth I ever have, very powerful and flexible. A very inspiring and musical tool. If it could send midi notes over hardware synths it would be just an amazing ribbon controller for external gear. Congrats Yuri!

Un synth-layer con il quale si possono creare ambientazioni e scene sonore incredibilmente coinvolgenti ed emozionanti.
Innanzitutto è la qualità del suono del synth che colpisce molto. Un suono potente, corposo, vibrante che anche caricato alla massima polifonia di ben 30 note, e con in più gli effetti e a volume quasi massimo non distorce mai. Non ci si lasci ingannare da un interfaccia grafica modesta. Anche se visivamente non attraente, tutti i parametri dei tre synth sono disposti in modo intuitivo e facilmente accessibili in tempo reale.
Gli effetti di riverbero ed eco li trovo eccezionalmente buoni e sono molto importanti per la migliore riuscita della scena sonora.
Questo synth è stato chiaramente ideato per la performance in tempo reale e consente anche di modificare qualsiasi parametro (tranne il cambio di nota) attraverso un controller esterno.
Nonostante questo synth abbia già qualche anno sulle spalle, a mio parere, soprattutto se lo si vuole usare per creare suoni “epici”, rimane ancora insuperato. Ringrazio lo sviluppatore per aver ideato questo stupefacente sintetizzatore perché ogni volta che lo uso mi sembra di partire per un viaggio nell’iper-spazio, verso mondi ignoti.

Thanks for an beautifully sounding synth. The only thing I really miss is midi out (or I just didn’t find out how to do that). If it is possible, could you please add this? Thank you.

Sounds great and of the first synths to really excite me about making my own patches from scratch and this is after 20+ years of dabbling in synths.

First- Thanks to the developer for including Bluetooth speaker support.  I've found this lacking in many other synth/music apps.  
I mainly work with ambient/experimental/avant-garde type stuff and I looove this app.  I find Shoom very easy to extract inspirational loops, sounds ,drones from.  I mainly work from a collage type approach and, once again, I find this excellent for that sort of use.  I like the layout and the controls.  Just great.  Looking forward to more releases from this developer.  👍🏻

Shoom is set to blaze brightly as it ascends. As an ambient generator - sometimes producing quite unnerving sounds - it's like the love child of ThumbJam and Ondes, with sounds patched direct from the Afterlife. Buy it now, if you're brave enough.

EDIT: il semblerai que lorsque l'on enregistre les sons de shoom sur audioshare, en passant ou non par audiobus (2 et 3), on perd en qualité...le son n'est plus aussi limpide.

application très interessante pour faire des drones, ambiances ou glitchs.

j'ai découvert grâce à la chaine youtube "thesoudtestroom" j'ai donc acheté et je ne suis pas déçu.

Die Sounds reichen von sanft bis brachial und das User-Interface ist der Hammer! Leider ist es mir bisher nicht gelungen, Shoom über meine DAWs per Virtual MIDI anzusteuern oder es gibt ein Problem mit Background Audio, welches ich aber aktiviert habe. Bei anderen Apps geht das problemlos.

@dev: I want to use Shoom with my DAWs, but can‘t hear any sound (Background Audio is activated). And please support AUv3 :-)

Nice synth sounds, and good UI. Bit basic though and lacking in features. An arpeggiator or MIDI in would be handy, for example, making it more useful for lead and bass sequenced stuff as its a bit drone based at the moment.

Not much updating happening, but hopefully the Dev has some new features in the pipeline.

A good app, but not using it as much as I thought I would.

I don't see anything spectacular. It will train you to use lfo's well. To me it's similar to TC-11 but with a lot less options. But it's also cheaper than TC-11. It makes drone sounds like everyone says. I am not entirely sure how to fit it into my workflow. I would approach it with the mindset of a fun experimental toy.

...for creativity it's very good. It's not a 5* app (I don't care what people say about it...they're wrong). The learning curve is more like a straight line so if you want to get your teeth into something then go for something else. If you want great results for little work then go for it. 5* my arsenal.

As a non musician and fan of dark ambient soundscaping I was drawn to this amazing app following my enjoyment of another ‘X/Y” synth, BramBos’ recently launched Mononoke. The two pair very well, with Mononoke doing the harsh digital metal feedback textures and Shoom handling unnerving rumbles, searing analog leads, and a variety of Krell patch like whistles, radio statics, and moans. I love the inclusion of scale constraints, which prevents noobs like me from playing bum notes, and you can easily and interactively ‘latch’ the multi touch polyphonic positions of one oscillator on the grid while you drag another about , then. Latch that one, unlatch the first, and so. On, enabling a surprising degree of precision in the noises achieved, plus, if you choose a or create a rhythmic or periodic sound, the additional ability to create interesting polyrhythmic effects. Rather like ThumbJam, this app can make you sound more accomplished than you are. So why only 4 stars? Well, I’m holding back the fifth for one crucial thing.  Yes, there is no AU mode (yet?), and that would be nice, but isn’t a deal breaker for me, as a single IAA instance does play nice with all my other apps in AUM. But it does seem a great shame in a synth literally built around the ability to boom and zoom in an XY grid that there is no way to record automation of that, either directly in app, or via exposure of functions to external LFOs for MIDI control. Should the glorious day dawn this gets added into the Shoom cocktail, I’ll be all in for the fifth star.

Очень жаль, что Юрий больше не обновляет свой замечательный инструмент. У меня есть бОльшая часть синтов на iPad, и Shoom один из самых любимых. Каждый раз как путешествие. Все еще очень надеюсь и жду мультиканальную AUv3 версию. В том числе, в виде встроенной покупки. Также встречаются баги, которые очень хотелось бы пофиксить. Но все равно меньше 5 звезд поставить не могу <3

Es gibt einfach keiene einzige schlechte App von diesem Genie Yuri Turov. shoom, xynthisizer und auch sein Effekt App. Als Musiker, kannst du wirklich alle seine Apps kaufen und du wirst nicht enttäuscht. Ich liebe seine Arbeit. Ganz besonders macht die App spass, wenn die ein ipad pro 12,9 hast. Unfassbar gut dieser Synth. Und obwohl ich ein Modular und Analog Nerd bin, überzeugen mich die oben gennanten Apps einfach. Diese App erinnert mich soooo krass an dem genialen Lyra 8 Synth, sowhl in Sound, als auch etwas in Bedinung. 🙏🏼

The possibilities offered in this app are great, intuitive design, being able to create your own tunings by assigning specific tone frequencies to each note and then making your own scales it’s a dream come true for me. Also the presets are fantastic as well, creating my own synths it’s a rewarding activity. Thank you very much.
