## What is Shoonkria?

Stop scrolling. Start eating.

Shoonkria is the food guide that tells you where to eat, and whether it's worth it, before you leave the house. Every place comes with a real review on video and a rating out of 10 from Ali Rehman, who ate there on camera.

OPEN IT, PICK A PLACE, GO
- Near Me: a live map of Ali's reviewed spots, with filters for open now, cuisine, distance and card deals
- Ali's rating, on video: watch the review and see his score out of 10 before you decide
- Card deals: live bank offers, matched to the cards you save, so you pay less
- Plan My Meals: build a food trail or a full day of eating, then send it to your friends
- Search by place, dish or area, and save favourites to your wishlist
- Ali's stories and food events, in one place
- Travelling? See what Ali has tried in London, Istanbul, New York, Dubai and more

YOUR CHOICE
Location is optional. Turn it on to see places and deals near you; the app works without it. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional too, and you can delete your account at any time from the menu.

Ratings and opinions are Ali's own. Card offers come from the banks and can change, so check with your bank before you pay.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-10-29

What's new in 1.6

• Smoother first launch. Setting up now happens right on top of the app, so you see Shoonkria from the start. Share your location, then add your bank cards, without the screen jumping around or a late prompt popping up.
• Better location. If we can't find you right away, you can pick your city instead.
• Discount Buddies. If you're signed out when you open Buddies or an invite link, you now get a clear sign-in prompt instead of an error.
• Small fixes and speed improvements.

### 1.5 — 2026-10-28

Discount Buddies. Pool your bank cards with friends and see whose card gives the best discount at a restaurant. A pop-up lets you know when a friend’s card beats yours.
Buffet filter. Find buffet restaurants quickly in Card Deals.
Card Deals, redesigned. Filter by your card stack, spot featured restaurants, and scan deals in more compact rows.
Every Card Deals restaurant is now a full place page. Read diner reviews, and like or dislike reviews to see what other diners found helpful.
Your cards, saved to your account. Add your bank cards once and see the discounts that apply to you across the app.
Fresh updates across the app. Smoother search typing and the latest improvements from the live Shoonkria experience.
