I use this mostly for dry fire practice and it’s awesome and easy to use. Being it’s an app on my phone, I can use the app practically anywhere! The ability to set and store multiple time profiles really helps when the lack of time is a factor for/during training. It makes it easy to switch between different time profiles without a lot of button pushing. As a firearms instructor, this app will be recommended for students as well as being used during classes. Thing only thing I would recommend, different tones to use for Make ready and Stand by. The same tone is used for both, being able to set different tones for the two would help to differentiate the meaning of the tones between Make ready and Stand by. The device would be far more useful if the tone or its volume could be adjusted. I use it with steel plates, where, depending on distances (10, 15, 20, 25, etc to 50 yards), we get from 6 to 14 seconds. The app lets me store each distance/time and I simply select the distance/time I want from the dropdown I populated once. It also has an endless loop feature where it cycles through the time count (go for dry fire). ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Nope *2025-06-02, version 1.3.3* Evidently no one knows how a shooting timer should work. If you want a timer that counts your shots and shows your splits or time between shots this IS NOT IT as is the case with most of these apps. Total waste of time ### 1/5 — Don't waste your time *2025-01-05, version 1.3.3* It doesn't actually keep track of shots. It's basically just a stopwatch. It makes beeping noises and stops after 10 seconds but doesn't actually keep track of your shots like range timer app ### 1/5 — No way to see times. *2024-03-24, version 1.2.2* Once you stop the timer the time disappears when not set to a certain duration. It does a good job at consistently spitting out par times. I haven’t figured out how to rename or delete a preset 2. Would be nice to be able to order the presets too 3. The way you select repetitions is wonky, with the number being the total number of times the timer will run, rather than the number of tones it will repeat. Just a grammar thing. I do like the app as a whole, and will keep using it. If there were a way to contact the developer, I would leave a 5 star review and simply put in a feature request. It does not tell me actual split times, rather lets me know if I am on par with my goals and clearly shows me areas I need to work on. I use it for dry fire at home, similarly to the rotating targets function at the range where I set face and edge times. The target events are denoted by beeps, which can be disabled. In silent mode you react to the changing interface colors.
