Not this year, it takes forever with multiple steps to enter the codes. They also don’t clear off of the list after purchased, so I can’t tell how many of each items I have left. I shouldn’t have to keep track of them myself. You guys had a year to figure out how to execute this properly so there really should be bo excuses. It would be way more helpful to just turn in the coupons like all the other years. ### 1/5 — Where’s the Monopoly? *2021-05-18, version 2.2.28* Scanning tickets feature works better than in 2020 but the coupons and prizes and USELESS. seriously not worth the time it takes to open scan and click through the ‘pick 3’ and then chance cards. Come on. Full digital game is one thing, but when I first heard that from the cashier thought it meant your game board would be in the app. I’ll pass like everyone else next time I see monopoly back. ### 1/5 — Stupid as _____! *2021-05-18, version 2.2.28* Not worth the time and energy I spent opening the tickets, scanning the codes, playing the dumb match game, or redeeming the tokens. Wow, after 3 hours of this, I won 2 tubs of sour cream, a loaf of French bread, and a few bottles of water that I have to pay crv on. Thx a bunch. ### 2/5 — Time consuming promo, not user friendly app *2021-05-18, version 2.2.28* When I first started using this, there was an option to scan the codes. This worked for me, so much easier than typing in each code. However that feature disappeared before I could get to the stack I had left of codes to “play”. While you don’t have to enter the dashes in the code, you do have to click on the box rather than have it set to automatically put your cursor in the right place—a pain if you have a big pile of these (which I did since the cashier gave me her entire stash at once the last week, she said it made the drawer too heavy...). The customer service contact link also disappeared before the end of the promo. The coupons you get are supposed to be loaded to your account, but there is no way to verify by looking at your account—you just have to purchase and hope the coupon is there. This also means the only way to track what coupons you have left are to go to this site/app, separate from the store site/app, and scroll through the list (in reverse order of entry, not by category or what hasn’t been redeemed yet). Then the tokens can be redeemed if you don’t guess the pattern correctly on the “game board” to win free grocery items or $1, 2, 5 rewards. If you want to spend your tokens on the charity listed, you have to do it one token (=1 penny) at a time. Overall, a lot of work for some coupons, perhaps a few free grocery items (if you happen to want those specific things), and a rare actual prize (like a Shutterfly book you have only a couple of weeks to put together before it expires), redbox DVDs, and even rarer bigger items. ### 1/5 — 5/18/21: USELESS Apple Crap App. *2021-05-18, version 2.2.28* 1. As our former president would say, “It’s rigged and pretty much everyone know s it.” 2. Extremely poor functionality. Scan feature seldom works, try calling the useless/helpless app support! It goes nowhere. 3. I CANNOT R.e.s.p.e.c.t a company that doesn’t respect my valuable time. 4. I can finally let go of EVER shopping at way over priced SW again. 5. No, thanks. ### 2/5 — Buggy and frustrating *2021-05-17, version 2.2.28* In years past my kids and I have looked forward to the game bit not this year. This years game is a 3 step process. Too time consuming! The “free items” you win have been consistently out of stock and half the time the al is not working! We have till the 18th of May to scan in tokens and once again I can’t get to the log in screen! The skip to navigation button flashes then disappears and you never get to the navigation screen. I think you n the d to reevaluate for next year. ### 1/5 — They just want your email address. *2021-05-16, version 2.2.28* If you think that scanning the code on your ticket only requires downloading app—you are wrong. After downloading the app, you have to create an account with your email with one of the participating stores. ### 1/5 — The worst! Horrible! Awful!!! *2021-05-16, version 2.2.28* To the leadership of Osco/ Albertsons: Get rid of this horrible “sweepstakes”! My 3rd grader spent hours upon hours going through these little tickets. We went to the store, scoured the shelves for the silly things she won (most of which we didn’t need). And bought a bunch of stuff with 50 cents off coupons (also things we didn’t really need). Then we got to the check out, to discover I needed a separate App for these tickets. I could not get the app to download, and it was taking so long that the people behind me in line had to take all their stuff off the counter to go to other check out aisles. The Jewell grocery store workers were lovely, and one eventually hand entered every ticket for me. What a waste of time and energy. I’m so annoyed that I went out of my way to find this app (that wouldn’t download yesterday) just so I could tell you how awful it is! ### 2/5 — 3 steps forward 2 steps back. *2021-05-15, version 2.2.28* Love that I don’t have to have a map but I thought we’d still get pieces and one scan would give us all are pieces on the game digitally (how it should have been done for years). I HATE the pick 3. It slows things down. ALSO why are you making us hit scan every time?! I just scanned one and hit scan more of course I want to SCAN more!!! It’s such a waste of time. This irritated me last year too. Just let me scan like 50 back to back. I can do the games and check the stuff after. Pop up for “instant win $3” or whatever. ### 1/5 — Not a simple redemption *2021-05-14, version 2.2.28* So I have so many coupons for the monopoly thing. But of course you can’t just take your coupons in. You have to scan them to even use them. But you can’t just use them through the app. You have to have another app for that. Since I go to vons, it has the just for U rewards. However, when I logged into the app, there wasn’t any option to even redeem my coupons. I have over 100 coupons. The virtual help does nothing, and the rules on the ShopPlayWin app helps with nothing. This is the most ridiculous thing ever. It wasn’t this difficult in previous years. Why can’t you just take the coupons in? Why are they making it so difficult to redeem them. It’s not worth it. No wonder they give so many out. It worked perfectly fine before but I haven’t been able to enter anything because the button to enter codes doesn’t appear anymore. The “TOKEN SWEEPSTAKES” was very unclear and I still don’t know how I would have redeemed any of these tokens. The rules aren’t clear and it all seemed like a waste. I’d get to the cashier and couldn’t pull up my entrees. ( so disappointing)☺️ I’m a wise old owl; I like shopping at the Acme. Some changes are not always necessary.... They also made it harder to get grocery gift cards, and by the time I was getting close to a 25 dollar one, they were all taken, and I had nothing I actually wanted to spend my tokens on. You do need to either sign up for the app with an email and password that you create. Alternatively, if you already have a login for the store app of a store that is running the promotion (like Vons for example), you can sign in using the email and password for that app. Using the app, you can scan the small QR codes on the back. That records and tracks the pieces you got in each ticket. Contrary to other recent reviews, I saw no error tracking pieces ever made by the app. Remember that the app only tracks your pieces. You will still need to keep them to turn in if you win something. So make sure you hang onto your pieces until the event is done. Also, you can use the app to scan the entry bar/letter codes for the 2nd Chance Sweepstakes. Each 2nd Chance scanned gives you a random reward of 0-many “tokens”. You can then use your tokens to buy chances at winning other prizes. You can also turn in tokens in order to claim grocery rewards like a couple of dollars worth of groceries or individual items, like a free donut, tinfoil, etc. ### 5/5 — More fun than the paper version *2020-03-02* I remember when I moved to the Bay Area my housemate and I played monopoly that year and we thought it was amusing but grew frustrated with the great effort involved in figuring it out and keeping track of the little pieces of paper. So I’ve ignored it for years. But this year I opened some and realized there was an app. I had a little trouble with the login, but I made an account on their website, and then I was able to scan in my tickets, and it was quite painless. I could imagine kids and parents having a lot of fun with it, getting to scan bar codes like a checkout person, which honestly is still like a little magic trick that happens everyday at the supermarket. Thanks for making this app, and I hope you keep working on the bugs, but it has real promise and is now a fun little addition to shopping. ### 5/5 — Awesome, easy, more fun!!! *2019-02-24* I LOVE the ease of this; just scan and track! Plus, you can collect tokens and decide how to spend them! And it only takes a few seconds to scan-major time savings-so even busy mom’s can play with little effort. ACCOUNT SET UP ISSUES? I see lots of folks getting stuck at the “local store” part of set up. I remember getting stuck there too, but it turned out I didn’t do something correctly (didn’t scroll all the way down or didn’t enter all info or...?). Once I corrected my own error, it was SUPER EASY from ther!!!! I am so excited because last year I didn’t load the app and tracking things was so time consuming. ### 4/5 — Would Be Nice if the App Could Track Prizes Already Claimed *2021-05-06, version 2.2.28* This app works fine on my iPhone 11. I wish the app could track prizes that have already been claimed by either deleting it or indicating that the prize has already been claimed. Otherwise it works well for me. ### 4/5 — Awesome! *2020-07-19, version 2.2.20* This app is soooo awesome , I scanned my tickets a couple weeks ago and 2 of them were winners 🤑 This app apparently is for monopoly, so don’t go downloading it and thinking it’s some kind of game🤪. This app currently has some issues that need to be fixed ASAP😑. The only issue that’s getting on my nerves is when you scan it and it never gives you a result if it’s a winner or not🙄. And one extremely important question 😬if we win the prize we signed up for will you email us as well? 🤔 anyway I guess that’s all thanks for reading this and have a blessed day😇 ### 4/5 — Wish we could claim more products *2020-05-03* This app is MUCH better now that you can stay logged in, and don’t have to log in each time you open the app. But I wish that we were able to claim more product prizes. It didn’t take that long for us to claim every item (apart from sweepstakes) that was available to us. Now we have hundreds of tokens and only sweepstakes to use them on. Under the Product Rewards section, it shows that very few of the products have been redeemed. Can you please open these rewards up again, so that we can use our tokens for more of these items? Thanks. My family enjoys playing the game! ### 4/5 — About Time *2020-02-06, version 2.2.14* I’ve read all reviews regarding the app, and I was very hesitant to download it. BUT I thought the app had to be better than playing the old fashion way. And sure enough, way~ better. Just remember to keep all playing cards after you scan it. Some of the issues mentioned on the reviews are no longer valid, so kudos to the app designers for listening to the reviews and taking action. Overall a pretty simple, straight forward app that makes playing monopoly efficient and fun ### 4/5 — Worth the time *2019-04-05* Just started ShopPlayWin with 4 tickets and won a package of organic coffee which would normally cost me $10-$12 (depending on the brand) in a grocery store. Plus I won a free token but I had to go online to find out how to use the token because I could not find the information on the big game board. Unfortunately I had already tossed the scannable barcodes on the ticket apparently necessary for the tokens since I was using the board and had not yet downloaded a scan barcode app. I figure the whole process is a numbers game and the game is entertaining once you start. Besides, who does not like winning a free prize? I am looking forward to seeing what else I might win. I say keep a positive attitude and go for it. If it becomes annoying or too tedious you can alway stop. ### 4/5 — It’s ok *2019-02-17* Last year I downloaded this app and there were a few things that were irritating about it. First thing was I had to log in every single time I opened the app, which was fine till one day I tried to log in and it said my account didn’t exist. So I thought well maybe I’m being stupid and typing it in right- tried few more times- searched for my name and stuff.... didn’t find me. I created the same exact profile, same number, everything. Lost all of my tokens (62 tokens! I was saving...) and obviously I threw away those papers. So I stopped playing game... heck I stopped going Safeway cause I didn’t even deal with it (yes I was being a baby about it.) So this year seems to be good, I don’t have to log in every time and nothing weird seems to be wrong.
