## What is ShopList?

ShopList is a practical grocery list for iPhone.
Create lists for different stores, plan what to buy, and keep each item useful with quantity, price, category, notes, currency, translation, and an optional photo.
ShopList is built for real shopping:
- shared lists let family members edit the same grocery list together through iCloud;
- live updates keep titles, quantities, notes, and purchased state in sync;
- offline edits stay visible locally and sync when connection returns;
- personal item details such as price, category, translation, and photos stay local to each user;
- smart suggestions help fill product names, categories, quantities, and notes;
- multiple lists let you organize stores, markets, or errands separately;
- location-based reminders can help when you are near a saved store;
- list files can be shared and imported;
- full backups can be created as visible files in the Files app.
ShopList does not use advertising or tracking. Personal lists stay on your device and in files you choose to create. Shared lists use iCloud only when you choose to share.

### 2.0.3 — 2026-07-19

ShopList 2.0.3 makes shared-list invitations more reliable:
- The invite share sheet now focuses on delivery channels that produce usable invites.
- Mail, WhatsApp, Telegram, and other supported third-party messengers remain available.
- Messages, AirDrop, Copy, and irrelevant system actions are hidden where iOS allows.
- The invite text, iCloud link, and shared-list model stay unchanged.
- .shoplist export/share behavior is unchanged.

### 2.0.2 — 2026-07-12

ShopList 2.0.2 restores empty shared-list support:
- You can share a grocery list before adding its first item.
- Accepting an empty shared list now opens it as a normal valid shared list.
- The first item added later, by the owner or a member, syncs normally.
- Shared lists can become empty again without showing a false access-closed state.
- Shared-list owners can delete a shared list directly; ShopList closes access first and then removes the list.
- Participants remove shared lists from the edit-list flow, matching the rest of list deletion.

ShopList 2.0.1 improves Family Sync reliability:
- Empty personal lists are no longer offered for first-time sharing.
- This prevents invitations that could get stuck during acceptance or shared-list preparation.
- If a version 2.0 empty-list invitation already got stuck, add one item, close the old shared access, and send a new link.

### 2.0 — 2026-06-24

ShopList 2.0 introduces Family Sync:
- Share a grocery list with another iCloud user.
- Edit shared items together: title, quantity, comment, and purchased state stay in sync.
- Keep working offline; pending changes sync when connection returns.
- Shared lists now have clear visual identity and access-loss handling.
- Moving items works across personal and shared lists.
- Shared-list setup and sync are faster and more reliable.

ShopList 1.1 makes everyday shopping smoother: 
- Choose exactly where an imported list should go: confirm the suggested target, pick an existing list, or create a new one. 
- Purchased items are easier to read: they keep the checkmark and purchased section, but no longer use strikethrough text. 
- Import summaries are clearer, and the app keeps existing list structure safer when merging. 
- Small interface polish and reliability improvements.
