I was expecting that this was going to stop working soon, but I really didn’t want to move to a new app. The updates are very minor, but greatly appreciated. I hope they do more to keep it alive, but I also hope they don’t change it to the point that it’s not worth using. Original review: I’ve been using the shopping app since 2008, and I am heavily invested in it time-wise, and customization-wise. It does everything I wanted to do, however, the lack of Dark Mode is pretty blinding at times. I also paid for the subscription once for a year, but didn’t really get any value into it. However, in the last few weeks I have lost most of my lists—twice! App says I deleted them but I have done nothing but open the app. And if I am accidentally tapping delete there should be a second layer asking are you sure. Interesting though, 4 lists disappear at a time. Way too frustrating to try to recreate them. Actually I don’t successfully recreate them. They booted me off without warning. When I asked why they said they changed to a monthly subscription. They should have given me the option to make a change ahead of time. Depuis 10 ans je prépare et gère tout avec : courses, contenu des congélateurs, et surtout bagages pour déplacements pro, WE, vacances, randonnées (à pied, en moto…), expéditions avec 500 articles à consigner… Ce n’est pas qu’un simple gestionnaire de listes de courses simplettes, c’est une base de données configurable à souhait, que l’on peut adapter à tout un tas de besoins. Son gros avantage, c’est d’être livré brute, comme une app de courses rustique, mais qu’en fait on peut facilement détourner pour tout un tas d’autres usages. Elle n’est pas bridée, on n’est pas dans un tube dédié aux courses, cette app est ouverte et adaptable aux besoins personnels. Tout un tas de besoins. Je n’ai qu’une crainte, c’est qu’elle disparaisse de l’AppSore, n’étant plus maintenue depuis 4 ans. I didn’t need premium features. Did not purchase. I understand they need to be paid for their work. My fear is any app could suddenly cripple a user by deleting their info. I’ll find solutions where I’m not dependent on a company, which could continually manipulate for more profits. But they added Ai features and now it just feels like straight up spyware. Done. UPDATE: this was a great app. It now keeps trying to connect to my Facebook account and I have to restart my phone to get back to my lists. Lame. Why would I want my shopping lists connected to Facebook anyways? OLD REVIEW: Simple way to keep shopping lists organized. I only wish it was as easy to customize stores and lists on mobile devices as it is online. I get to the grocery store no list. I usually go back-and-forth from my cart to pick things back to put on my list so I have like a running list all the time And just adding things from the shopping cart that I’ve bought previously back in. But now the app erases both my list and the cart. What good is a grocery list that disappears before you get to the store? It took a long time to get all the products we purchase regularly added so initially it took longer than a paper list. Once I had everything added it was really helpful though. After the most recent update I have decided to delete the app for good however. I sat down and populated my list with a weeks worth of groceries. When I opened the app at the store everything was gone. As if it were a new install. I restarted both the app and my phone but it was gone. I did my shopping from memory. Now I need to go back to the store as I wasn’t able to remember everything. Back to a sheet of paper for me. Paid for gold for several years to get watch app sync which is still working as “good” as always. (Good = 1 out of 10 times it totally fails to show list. I always thought the fails were Bluetooth related. But now I think it is hitting a authentication server somewhere which will stay up until the last user cancels gold.) It is truly a part of my everyday life. Can’t say that about many others. Why? 1. Easy to learn/easy to use. HUGE! 2. Auto -organization by category/isle. It just does it for me! And I can refine to match a specific store as well. 3. I create lists for multiple kinds of stores (Hardware, dollar store, Asian market, grocery, Costco, etc) so items to be purchased are always in the right place. 4. Since my phone is always with me, I can always add an item I need to a list at any time and any place. And my lists never get lost - unlike those old paper lists The app is just plain terrific! It comes preloaded with hundreds of grocery items (food and other) and you can add your own items to the list too! The items listed come organized by category (produce, meats, frozen, canned, etc) so when it’s time to go shopping, you’ll save time hunting for what you need! When creating your list, you can add in the prices of items which are on sale in your local flyer. You can also create different lists for different stores! If you’re like me, you’ve made many shopping lists and then left him home during a shopping trip. With this app, the list conveniently goes with you wherever you go! Many thanks ### 5/5 — One of the best Apps in n the App Store *2021-02-06* After using this app for many years, I signed up to become a Gold (paying) subscriber, not for the additional features it offered, but because I love this app and want to support them. Shopper is an app I use every day. When I run out of something, I immediately add it to my list in Shopper. I have a grocery list, a drugstore list, a hardware list, a list for our vacation home, and holiday lists. If my husband calls on his way home and asks if I need anything from the grocery, I simply sync my grocery list to him. He checks items off the list as he gets them. If he isn’t able to get an item, it stays on the list. A few years ago, I was asked to give a presentation to the members of a ladies club, many of whom were older and struggled with technology, on how to get the best usage from their smart phones. As part of the presentation, I recommended three apps, and Shopper was the first one on the list. It is the one app I wouldn’t want to live without. Kudos to everyone at Shopper.
