I love being able to list all of my stores (I buy groceries at several different ones) and then being able to list my regular items I buy (favorites) for each store. A feature I use every time is the calculator—fabulous addition. I used another shopping app for years before this app came out. When I go shopping now, it’s now just a click away to my favorites. It’s easy, simple and basic yet has a lot of capabilities that you can personalize. I like this app. Today there was a notice about an update, that means someone is paying attention - (s)he asked for feedback, that’s “communication”: a message goes out and it gets a response/reply. “Communication” is important to this developer and his users - me anyway. This app does that well (communicates): tap and it responds. Tap “help” and there it is - simple directions, to the point. Check or uncheck your list responds. I like “KISS” and KISS seems to apply to this platform. When I’m making a to/do list “simple” is the rule - Keep It Simply Simple! Thanks for your updates, good to know you’re there and you have given us a great shopping list! I seem to spend far too much of my life writing shopping lists or getting home and discovering I’ve forgotten the one item I desperately needed. This app is just what I need! It is so simple to use and does exactly what I want it to do. It allows you to quickly add items to your shopping list while you’re on the go. A great feature is that you can edit the categories to give them names that suit you. It also allows you to reorder the categories as you wish. Eg I’ve reordered mine in the order I shop in the supermarket, so my list is really easy to use and I don’t waste time wondering up and down. You can also export it by text or email. So if my other half offers, I can just send him the list and it’s in a clear format and ready to go!! Items are easy to add, and they can be listed under groups. There is also the option to add a memo to each item with further info. With this app I can add items wherever & whenever I realise I need it and if I happen to be near the shops - I always have my shopping list on me! AND for those rare occasions my husband phones to say “I’m going to the shops, do we need anything...?” Voila!! I can text him the list over from my phone! A bug Renee: the send to text option sends ALL categories even if only 1 is selected. Please can I ask for 2 changes to the app which I hope will not be too difficult? 1) When entering items, if the “*Any location*” location is selected please just ignore that field in the lists (favourites and shopping). If an item can be obtained from any location it’s not useful to list that next to an item. 2) Rather than filtering the list for a particular location please just make it possible to sort by location (rather than by category which is, I think) much less useful With these 2 changes I think the app would be simpler and improved. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Excellent App, and Awesome Support *2023-04-01, version 1.45* This app does a (relatively… :-) straightforward thing- help you keep track of the things you need to buy, and facilitate the actual buying. It does that well. It has a clean UI, clear preferences, and the response is snappy, so you’re never waiting for it. This would be enough for a great review. I tripped over a bug recently, and for once I used the Help to report my problem. Renee got back to me surprisingly quickly, and she set about getting the details from me, and asking me to try a few things. After a handful of exchanges over the next few days, and talking with another user seeing the same, she found the problem. A few days later, v.1.45 is released fixing the issue. Renee was helpful and easy to work with, and clearly cares about her work. AND, she includes actual release notes with new releases, a habit some developers have dropped. (“General improvements and bug fixes” is *not* a release note, People!) Also a snap to check them off as you shop and save for the next shopping trip. Really well designed and can be used for tracking your spending. Developer is very responsive to issues and requests. Today I decided that I would remove some category tags that I never used (such as “international foods”). The app crashed and now I can’t even get it to successfully launch again. Tried restarting my phone to no avail. I think I’ll have to delete and reinstall the app to get it working again. Very disappointed that I’ll lose all of the shopping list items that I added to it. Otherwise the app is terrific. March 02 update: The problem was resolved in the latest update and I didn’t lose any of my data. Thanks, Renee! ### 5/5 — Love this app *2019-09-16, version 1.24* I've been using this app for months and I rely on it all the time for my welly shop and for things that I don't want to forget. It is brilliant and so easy to use. I had a suggest which I thought would improve the app and they added my suggestion to the app. Nothings too much trouble. I just love it. ### 5/5 — So easy to use and share! *2019-08-23, version 1.22* I particularly like that i can text the entire shopping list -- with memos! -- to my husband. Now he doesn't need to call three or four times from the store "What brand of flour? Where are the raisins again? How many cans of tomato sauce?..." Plus i love being able to remove the items i have already gotten from the list. It makes it very easy to see what's left to get or if i need to backtrack for a missed item. It will work for any way you design it for. Keeps running costs, tax, a favorite list for re-use. When you get to the checkout stand, you know exactly what it’s going to cost. Simple to use but so useful and handy when going shopping. I have also suggested an update to the app which was added during the last update. ### 5/5 — Great Shopping Assistant! *2019-03-10, version 1.18* This app is great for organizing what you need and what store you need it at as well as the general location in the store (you tell it where). I really like that it gives the options of favorites so you don’t have to input something over again, you just check the box and then click remove and it’s off your main list but still in your favorites (if you choose that option when inputting the item). I have gotten to where I use it all the time now.
