Also, the app is super buggy ### 2/5 — Way too many notifications *2025-08-25, version 1.1.37* Wish there was an in-app way to select what type of notifications I receive. I just want to know when I receive messages from sellers, but I had to turn notifications off completely because they send SO MANY just to get you to view their events. Please add an option for this. Also, I suggest having a way to know which events and stories you’ve already viewed. Right now it’s hard to tell. ### 1/5 — Beware *2025-08-05, version 1.1.34* If you do make a return or find an issue with your item, they promise a refund and don’t follow through. I recommend vestiare. They will take your money and fight you. ### 1/5 — CONSISTENTLY CRASHES *2025-07-22, version 1.1.33* The app constantly crashes and freezes, especially when there is a big ShopThing event happening. In other instances, the videos and photos take a long time to load which leads to missing out on items I would like to purchase. Nothing to do with the wifi or cellular, happens regardless. Needs to be fixed asap!! ### 3/5 — Cart *2025-05-18, version 1.1.28* Can’t purchase more than 1 iteam at a time have to pay duties and shipping again ### 2/5 — Questionable product *2025-05-11, version 1.1.28* Their most recent event with the Christian Louboutin warehouse sale had an item(neon running shoe) that never came out in that colour way and the spikes and bottoms under careful scrutiny were not “correct” fake in fact. I think I’ll uninstall and just pass on this platform because the minute one or two obvious fakes make it in I question how “authentic” the rest of your products are. ### 1/5 — ALL BAGS CAME FAULTY - NOT AS DESCRIBED *2025-04-03, version 1.1.28* I’ve ordered 4 bags from them. Not only do they take OVER a month to arrive, but none of the bags came as described. The first one, they sent the wrong bag with a missing peeled off piece of leather and they accepted that it and returned the bag. Of course the process wasn’t quick. But Great, honest mistake. So I decided to place more orders. The next set of 3 bags I ordered were advertised as BRAND NEW. They arrived, one was damaged and had bending marks all throughout and mind you, it’s a white Bottega so VERY visible. The Black bag came defective, with uneven lining and markings all throughout. I emailed them and instead of refunding me and accepting the returns, they tell me that they will only do so if I spend another $1500 on their app before April 15. Screams scam to me. I’ve disputed the bag with my card so I’m not sure what will happen there but I’m currently out $2000+ of defective bags and then today I notice that the 4th bag has a small faint PEN MARK. Yes pen mark. I tried to clean it off but it left a mark. I’m shocked with every purchase. Every single item I purchased was faulty. I wish I never spent a dime. I haven’t even attempted to use or wear any of the bags. They have their tags still on. ### 3/5 — Painfully slow shipping *2025-03-15, version 1.1.27* Besides the items you receive, which may not be exactly what you’re looking for I’m not being able to return or exchange more than two items a month, the shipping is painfully slow. Anything you buy takes over a month to arrive. I’m not sure if the post office is delivering them on foot instead of using planes or trucks. I have paid extra fees for my items to arrive earlier and quicker, but yet it takes them forever to arrive. Today is March 15. I have placed orders on February fifth and it is still not here! extremely annoying! ### 1/5 — Nice concept bad customer service *2024-11-23, version 1.1.18* Bad customer service! Good luck changing or returning anything. Shipping takes forever! Most items comes from China!! Never again!! ### 4/5 — No way to mute *2024-10-11, version 1.1.14* Just downloaded the app and couldnt help but realize that there’s no way to mute the videos. Unless you put your volume all the way down. It can be overwhelming especially if your prone to sensory overload. Kind of sucks if your on transport trying to listen to your music and shop. I love the set up and I’m happy they showcase items in videos. The set up is straight forward. There’s no search engine where you can write what your looking for either. It’s basically a social media app where to sell clothes. Proud of them! Just wanted to share my thoughts so they’re aware. Thank you! ### 3/5 — Slow shipping & poorly designed app *2024-09-03, version 1.1.7* The app itself is poorly designed, takes a long time to load and is just not user friendly at all. Shipping takes forever. When I buy a designer item I really expect it to arrive within a week, two tops. It’s been over two weeks since I’ve placed an order and it hasn’t even shipped. Their system is totally backwards and doesn’t make sense. Some of the deals they find are great but the “live” shopping idea is a bit much in a world where online shopping is very easy and quick. Is it even worth the time spent scrolling & waiting a month or longer for your purchase to arrive? ### 1/5 — Not reliable *2024-08-29, version 1.1.6* I committed to a product (which was not easy, and not a small amount of money), placed an order that was non-refundable, received email communications about my order being processed and shipped, all to then receive an email the next day that my order is cancelled/refunded. When I inquired why, I received the response that my item was not able to be secured. A frustrating experience, and I have provided feedback that upon purchase, there should be disclaimers that share that when you purchase your item, it does not 100% mean you will receive it. This shows me that some sellers on this app are not reliable, and that the mutual agreement of a sale/purchase can be easily broken. With the right communication and expectation setting, I would not have been this disappointed. ### 1/5 — Don’t get your hopes up *2024-08-01, version 1.1.2* Anytime you find a great deal, unless it’s live as the shopper first posts the item, don’t get your hopes up. Most orders get canceled. Processing and shipping also take forever. So don’t be in a rush. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Poor customer service *2026-04-12, version 1.1.53* I have bought a few items off the app. Be super careful. The prices are expensive for preowned clothes. The same items can be found on other platforms that offer guarantee of “real” merchandise that is appropriately and truthfully described. Additionally, the customer service is awful. Do not buy from here. ### 1/5 — Waste of time and money *2026-04-01, version 1.1.53* Very disappointing experience. The shoppers never respond to questions, which makes it almost impossible to make an informed purchase—especially when it comes to sizing. On top of that, the return policy is extremely unfavourable to customers. I understand final sale for pre-loved items, but applying the same rule to brand new items is unreasonable. There was also no clear indication at the time of purchase that the item was final sale. I ended up spending $500 on shoes I can’t even wear, with no support before or after the purchase. Unfortunately, I won’t be shopping here again. ### 1/5 — Bad customer service, items not in disclosed condition *2025-10-28, version 1.1.44* I purchased an item from a seller, and it was marked as “good” condition, with only a minor blemish. When my order came, I was surprised with how poor the condition of the item was. I tried to resolve the matter with Shopthing customer service who gave me no help except for a scripted reply on three separate emails, and offered no help at all. After submitting a dispute to my credit card company and winning the dispute, they had me return the item “at my earliest convenience”. Obviously I didn’t mind that. However, 4 days after the email with the return shipping was sent out, they sent me another email which threatened to bring me to court as “fraud” because they have not heard back from me yet. In reality, I shipped the item back, but I chose to not reply to their email as I do not want to be dealing with customer service anymore after the horrible interaction i had the first time. Being threatened by customer service took the cake for me. Wouldn’t recommend anyone buying items from private sellers from this app. ### 1/5 — Constant freezing. *2025-10-25, version 1.1.44* Really hard to shop on this app when it constantly freezes and the videos don’t load. I have to close down the app and reopen it to continue looking through the new items. Please fix the app ### 1/5 — Not happy with this app!!! *2025-10-21, version 1.1.43* Don’t recommend this App at all! The shipping takes so long like a month. Anyway at first they were so nice to you when you have question or problem about your order, they answered all your questions then ask you a review how are they doing, and then when you write a good review about them the next time you ask about your order shipping no answer at all. Their customer service team is of zero help, despite multiple emails and evidence sent of the fake, they took no action. Their customer service is terrible, they have poor communication and there is no way that you can actually track your order. It’s been more than 2 months now and I haven’t received my package yet.. I have sent many emails to them and all I get is to show patience and wait for my package.
