Just running into the issue of a lot of items I’m scanning are not in the system yet. I’ve been submitting products as I go but there’s a lot. ### 4/5 — I have a recommendation *2021-06-28, version 6.0.34* I love the app and have been using it for a week. I really feel like this would really improve the app so I wanted to inform the developer about it. While doing the sign up process there are certain things which are asked of people; their wants and avoidances of certain food categories. As an example I’ll use the terms disaccharides and sulfites from the app. Let’s say a new user sees these terms and doesn't know what they are. It would be really cool if there was a way for its information to be displayed through a double click or if it was just there. I hope I came up with something useful. ### 4/5 — I love this app, but it has issues. *2021-01-30, version 6.0.29* This app is an amazing shopping helper if you’re looking to be more careful about what you’re buying. However, it has some issues that make it less usable than I want it to be. It seems like any attempt at editing profiles or lists ends in an error message. The search function could also be improved, as you don’t really get to see all the results when you search something. For example, I searched “condensed soup” and only got a handful of results when I know there are many, many soups logged on the app. It would be nice to have more results and maybe even a way to filter them in the future. ### 4/5 — Accessible to vision impaired but app could be better. *2021-01-04, version 6.0.29* I want to thank the developers of this app for making it completely accessible to vision impaired people. I haven’t found one feature that does not work with voiceover on my iPhone. There are many companies that do not do that. Thank you so much. That being said, the products in your database are very limited. There are some brands from areas of the country that are not represented at all. Your barcode scanner will not recognize anything with H-E-B or Hill country fair brand on it. Almost all brands and your database are not carried by the stores in my area. Please represent more regions of the country that have grocery store chains not represented in your database. ### 4/5 — Crash warning *2020-08-09, version 6.0.26* I’ve been using this app for a month. This really helped me kick start my gluten and dairy free diet by helping me shop. You don’t realize how hidden some ingredients are in food products. I love how when you scan a food product it will highlight the ingredients I want to avoid and also recommend supplement foods. But now every time I try to get on the app it crashes right away. I don’t know if any one else is experiencing this? As much as I rely on this for all the upfront details it mentions, this one flaw literally makes the app unusable where it crashes upon loading every single time now. Good thing the website exists, but it feels slow compared to the app I want to use again. I have recently been placed on a very restrictive diet for 3 months. It may work out permanently. It was so frustrating shopping for food and reading labels. I can’t have gluten, dairy, and sugar. It was a nightmare to ready labels and figure out what is what. I literally had a melt down in the store and started crying when I had spent two hours reading labels and had nothing in the cart to eat. I use your app several times daily! I don’t know what a I would do without it. Thank you for developing it and maintaining such a trustworthy, thorough and comprehensive site! Thanks for the help!! ### 4/5 — Great App *2019-12-09, version 6.0.25* My daughter has food allergies to Peanuts, Eggs, and Soy. This app has made it so much easier to find foods she can eat. All you do is scan the items at the grocery store and it lets you know to avoid that particular item or if it’s ok to have. It will even make suggestions for another item if you can’t have that particular item. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I wished the app would have non-food items. Sounds like a good idea except the app doesn’t work *2020-09-15, version 6.0.27* I am gluten sensitive and have to avoid foods that contain gluten. I have been in desperate search for food scanner apps that help weed out diet restrictions and this app came up. I love the idea that this app will help because gluten takes forms in many ingredients and it’s hard to remember each ingredient or have to search it up while food shopping. However, upon installing the app it’s been giving me a hard time setting up an account and loading each screen on the app! Navigating through each screen and on each page the app is malfunctioning and there’s a pop up saying “Error! Something went wrong” ... what is this madness?! I have deleted the app, restarted my phone and reinstalled, still nothing. It’s being downloaded over strong WiFi, so I know connection isn’t the issue. However this is very disappointing to the point that I had to write a review and let the developers know there is a serious bug and it needs to be fixed, my review won’t be changed until then, when I can get the full experience of the app. So if you downloaded this app for dietary reasons like me... If you need additional support, we can help at support@innit.com ### 2/5 — Barely Works *2021-05-25, version 6.0.32* I got this app to use the scanner for my dairy allergies, and wow did the thing barely work. It gave me false positives on completely safe foods (there is no Parmesan in traditional Ragu, what are you talking about??? And EnjoyLife cookies are explicitly allergen free, that’s the POINT of them.) It goes out of its way to shame you for eating anything but rabbit food even if you don’t ask it to consider a low sugar or low sodium diet. Not using again. ### 2/5 — Had problems installing this app *2021-01-17, version 6.0.29* Had this app a couple years and then took it out and just recently tried to reinstall this app. I tried three or four times and it keeps showing up a message that I have no WiFi connection or error. ### 2/5 — Gluten free-not *2019-04-10, version 6.0.16* Used this app for a while because I have celiacs and this made it easier to shop at the grocery store. Recently however, just to test it out and make sure that it was working, I scanned some food that I knew had wheat in it and it said that it was an ok match for me to eat. Not ok! ### 3/5 — Missing Seed oils as a dietary dislike *2021-04-26, version 6.0.31* I downloaded this app to help me avoid seed oils. While I do think the app is well done, I do not believe I will be able to rely on it much without vegetable/seed oils as a dietary dislike category. This category includes Corn, cottonseed, canola, soy/soybean, safflower, sunflower, grapeseed, ricebran oils. If you add this, 5 stars for sure! ### 3/5 — Most of the products I scan are Unknown *2020-11-12, version 6.0.28* Is this App recently new? Because when I scan my food it says “unavailable” like it’s not updated or something. ### 3/5 — not working *2020-09-14, version 6.0.27* I just downloaded this app after finding out I have a dairy and gluten allergy. However, the app will not load or let me create an account. It seems like just the thing I need and like a super helpful tool but I can’t get it to work. I’ve tried deleting and redownloading but it still won’t work at all. ### 3/5 — Great, but has an annoying issue... *2020-08-08, version 6.0.26* Super helpful in making sure a I shop safely for my son’s allergy needs, but I am CONSTANTLY having to uninstall and reinstall. When I am asked to rate the app, whether I rate it say later, it shuts off. After that, I am unable to open the app without it shutting down immediately. The only way to stop this is to uninstall the app and reinstall, only to have to happen again once it asks me to review. It was able to correctly identify Jif peanut butter and a bag of raw almonds as “Must Avoid”, but when the Q-code searched a bag of sliced toasted almonds, the app said they were fine for me...simply not possible! Therefore, not a trustworthy app. ### 3/5 — Great idea, wish it would explain more *2020-01-15, version 6.0.25* I really enjoy scanning things and finding out if I should be putting it in my body or not but there’s really no explanation on why I should or shouldn’t eat things. The only thing though is that they don’t have a corn allergies option which corn isn’t too common so I understand, but it would be LOVELY if it was. For the past few days, the app won’t open at all and crashes immediately. I hope this gets fixed soon because this app was great.
