I tried creating a new account without linking it to FB but the app asks me to verify my phone which is linked to the facebook login account i already have... madness. If you can use the app, great. Their system is stupid you can’t even preview the pros before you do much with them you have to pay for them through the app and you can’t talk to them otherwise. I downloaded the app and much to my dismay, there is no one in the DC area to come to your house and do your hair. Downloaded the app once, when it was first launched, to check it out; deleted it. YEARS AGO. Never created an account or agreed to any communication or info sharing. Got a spam text today using my first name and directing me to open the app. Will be notifying Apple. Will also be looking in to any class action lawsuits that stop this invasive behavior. ### 1/5 — Horrible service *2021-05-15, version 7.2.5* Booked a barber, he canceled at the last minute, then the support concierge simply tried to reschedule me with the same guy the next day. My phone is still supported and gets latest updates as far as I know. But it has a small screen. When I enter the app, I get a pop-up with covid-19 info. The button is far too down for me to click it. It’s been made only for bigger phones. Texted concierge for other options - no reply. App is a cool idea but the implementation is underwhelming. Delete. ### 1/5 — Unqualified stylists ranked as ‘Shortcut VIPs’ *2020-11-13, version 7.0.0* I got my hair cut by a man on the VIP list. I wanted thin, face framing strands right in the middle — chin length. After chopping a thick chunk of hair way too short right off the bat, he attempted to layer it into my hair, cutting more of my hair shorter and shorter. The result was a choppy uneven mess that I had to clip up for a month, and am still attempting to grow out. During the process he admitted to me he had been fired from hair salons before and that’s why he went to shortcut. He told me he didn’t really know how to frame women’s faces (a fact he should have told me before the cut when I asked him if he could do it). He said “but you believed I could do it couldn’t you, because I talk so confidently”. Made me really uncomfortable and took forever to leave after the cut. Shortcut comped the cut, but I explained the situation to them. I don’t want this happening to other women. They reassured me that they would handle it, yet here he is two months later still on the top of the VIP list. Probably could’ve had a better haircut at great clips. Really disappointed in the lack of response from Shortcut and I sincerely hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
