The things you can do with it are actually quite insane, and surpass a lot of automation apps you would have to download and setup separately. The only issue is that shortcuts are oftentimes buggy, especially larger, more complex ones, so the practicality is limited. With some further bug quashing this app would be insanely useful. ### 2/5 — My problem *2026-08-24, version 6.2* I don’t know bug on my phone but every time I change the app put in another app like freak out and I truly like for example FaceTime I can’t put it on Maps which I did it twice by which I didn’t try find out anything kept changing into a different app In the second time I did it for the second time I did it I made sure I clicked the right app app. I even pressed app to make sure it was the right app to see if you don’t turn into a different app and when I make sure I get a change to another app. it was not only disabuse other apps to doing the same thing too ### 4/5 — 1 Reason It’s 4 stars *2026-08-24, version 6.2* The 1 and ONLY reason it’s a 4 is because sometimes things that seem should be so simple, they aren’t specifically I’m having problems with the ‘Repeat’/‘Repeat With Each’ I’m trying to make it so I can make multiple reminders in one shortcut and I really wish that I could have an ‘End Repeat’ command because I think I may have to make 2 or more shortcuts to do this. Unfortunately, setting up a new automation or shortcut is an incredibly painful experience, especially if you’re trying to integrate devices like HomePods in the trigger or action. At this point in LLM maturity, a user should be able to give very high-level instructions of what they want to do - instead of step-by-step creating an automation loop! - and the app should just create the relevant shortcut or automation. My simple timer shortcut just doesn’t work when I tap to activate it. I’ll have to go into the shortcuts app and then about 50% of the time it’ll work within the shortcuts app. Every other time nothing happens. Same for shortcuts on my lock screen or shortcuts assigned to the Action Button as well as shortcuts I’ve added to my homescreen. I’ll tap and then nothing happens. Whether there or within the Shortcuts app. These are things I submitted in feedback posts to Apple during the beta and were issues all the way up to the final beta version and this main release. Feedback: 1. Allow for us to center text within custom lists and titles. This would look better visually. 2. Allow us to change the width of a shortcuts folder that’s been added to the Action Button. Having them all at the top is a reach ability issue. 3. Allow for more than 8 shortcuts to be visible on-screen when you assign a shortcuts folder to the Action Button 4. When a shortcut is assigned to the Action Button; allow for us to remove the colour associated with it and just show the glyph in the Dynamic Island like it does if we have a shortcuts folder assigned to this button.
