### 1/5 — Grammar Nightmare

*2020-12-09*

As a voracious reader, I was excited about having this app to pass the time now and then, without it being a mindless game.

I read the first section of the first story and I was so frustrated that I couldn’t continue. I couldn’t concentrate on the details of the story because I was too preoccupied with all of the grammar errors.

I mean, a LOT of errors. A fifth grader honestly could do better.

This app was recommended by Bookly, an app dedicated to the joy and art of reading. ???

Very disappointed. I am deleting the app.

### 1/5 — Pretty poor

*2020-02-21*

Poorly written stories. Annoying pop up-ads. Only allowed to read 75 lines at a time unless you upgrade or watch another advert!
Deleted the app after trying two stories and only getting 5 or 6 paragraphs in. Waste of time.

### 1/5 — Who is this for?

*2020-02-13*

Judging by the on-boarding Moon story...

It’s not for readers; the prose is clunky, littered with grammatical errors and bad English.

It’s not for gamers; what’s so exciting about a bland comprehension quiz.

It’s not you, annoying pop-up ads or £2.99 a week?

It’s not for me, sorry.

### 1/5 — Poorly written money grabbing stories

*2020-02-13*

I was excited to try some interactive storytelling. And then I got started.

Written by amateurs, riddled with spelling mistakes, and worst of all, tedious stories that drag on just so they can hit you with a paywall.

Wasted potential. Avoid.

### 1/5 — Not engaging

*2020-02-12*

I got to the end of the first chapter and part way through the second. Realised the story just wasn’t engaging or involving enough to continue with. I was expecting StoryPick to be much more interactive and maybe if I persevered it would be but I don’t have the time.

### 2/5 — Unwelcome ads after a page? No thanks

*2020-02-19*

Crashes if you aren’t connected (which does happen on trains. I deleted it after the first pop-up advert - five paragraphs in.

### 3/5 — Are these written by robots?

*2020-01-20*

The grammar is difficult to understand.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback, please e-mail us at support@storypick.app with the grammar mistakes you found and we will sort it right away. Thank you again, your feedback helps us a lot.

### 4/5 — Add a -chapter- section.

*2021-07-22*

I literally almost died with my headphones on because at one point, I’m reading a space adventure and the next there an ad yelling in my ear.
Just a suggestion but add “chapters” and a slider to notify you of when you’re hitting the end of a chapter to notify the reader that they might want to turn down there volume if they hadn’t already.

### 4/5 — Nice

*2020-04-28*

I like how you make it so you have to finish the paragraph and the. Keep on going it makes me want to find out more

### 5/5 — StoryPick is great! But grammar and punctuation and sentence structure could use some help

*2020-08-12*

I enjoy this game a bunch! But the writing does distract. Developers, want to hire an extremely inexpensive proofreader?

### 5/5 — Original short story app

*2020-01-16*

I like how you have to answer questions during when reading a story in order to continue. Makes it more fun and challenging. Also it forces you to pay attention to the story. Very cool idea!
