User reviews

Exactly what I was looking for

Easy and quick to use. My only ask is if you could also add a feature to block those annoying YouTube posts too that clog up the feed. Goat added the feature 🐐. Thank you!

Response from developer

Thanks for the review! The latest iOS update includes YouTube feed post blocking — update the app to get it. macOS version is coming soon too.

Works

Fantastic no longer need to use YouTube shorts

Does not work

When I downloaded I did what it asked of me but nothing happened I triple checked and exited out of everything and tried it again nothing changed on YouTube or this app. Would not recommend unless you were my enemy as it is a complete waste of time and just as bad as YouTube shorts.

Response from developer

Sorry to hear that! This extension only works in Safari (not the YouTube app) because YouTube’s app uses its own sandboxed browser that blocks third-party extensions. Here’s a more complete list on how it works: iOS (iPhone/iPad) – Step-by-step: Open the ShortRemover app (this registers the extension with iOS). Close the app and go to: Settings → Safari → Extensions Tap ShortRemover → Toggle it ON. Tap "Allow on All Websites" (or at minimum, add youtube.com to the allowed list). Open Safari, go to youtube.com, and refresh the page. → Shorts should now be gone. If Shorts still appear: Force-quit Safari and reopen it. In Safari, tap aA (left of the address bar) → Manage Extensions → Ensure ShortRemover is enabled for YouTube. Mac: Open this app Safari → Settings → Extensions → Enable ShortRemover Restart Safari and refresh YouTube.

It works! (In safari)

This add-on doesn’t work when I create icon to Home Screen as web app, but anyway it turned out to be very useful for me.
Respect to the developer.
