## What is Shot List Filmmaker Tool?

ShotList is a planning tool for filmmakers. Documentary directors, music video DPs, short film teams, and solo creators use it to turn rough notes into a structured shot list, scout locations, and run a shoot from their phone.
The flow is straightforward: paste a script, a treatment, or a few scribbled notes. ShotList structures them into scenes and shots — with framings, camera movements, lens suggestions, durations, and location ideas drawn from real nearby places. You edit what you like, keep what works, and head out.
On set, switch to On-Set mode. Big-touch UI made for cold hands and bright sun: mark shots as done, skip shots with a reason captured, record voice memos against any shot, attach a still grab from your camera roll so you remember what you actually got. Then export a clean PDF brief — typography that respects the document, ready to send to an editor or producer.
AI generation runs through your own API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI) or fully on-device with Apple Intelligence. No middleman, no markup on tokens, no proxy server with your scripts on it. Your work stays yours.
ShotList Free includes one active project — every feature works, you just keep one shoot in flight at a time. Pro removes the limit. No ads, no tracking, no analytics.
Built carefully. Designed quietly. For people who'd rather get the shot than fight the app.

Support for Spanish and Portuguese, and an Apple Watch app to make managing shoots on set even easier.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-11

• Siri & Shortcuts support — open a project, start On-Set mode, or mark the next shot as done, all by voice or from the Shortcuts app.
• Attach a reference photo (mood board or location shot) when generating with Apple Intelligence — the on-device model now factors it in.
• New Apple Intelligence (Private Cloud Compute) option alongside On-Device, for when you want extra headroom on longer generations.
• Play back voice memos right from the shot editor, not just On-Set mode.
• Fixed a PDF export bug where shot text could overlap the thumbnail image.
• Optimization for iOS 27, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone Pro Max & iPhone Duo
