### 5/5 — Great app that keeps getting better

*2026-06-29*

I’ve been really impressed with Shot Gain. Even when there were a few bugs early on, fixes and updates were super quick. I love how easy it is to keep track of my clubs and yardage while on the course. Everything is in one place and simple to log. Helps me gain a clear picture while playing versus guessing.

### 5/5 — My New GO-TO Golf App

*2026-06-26*

ShotGain has become the first app I open after every round. It breaks down exactly where I lost strokes, ranks what I need to work on, and even helps me decide which club gives me the best play based on my actual dispersion data from the range.
No other app I've used does all of that in one place, and it's free. If you're serious about improving, this is the one.

### 5/5 — Game-changing On and Off the Golf Course

*2026-06-26*

I've tried just about every golf app out there, and ShotGain is the only one that tells you something you can actually use. Most apps track your score and call it a day. This one tells you exactly where you're losing strokes and what to do about it.
The AI practice coach is what got me. After my rounds, it breaks down my biggest leaks by category and ranks them by impact. It found that my lag putting from 15 to 25 feet was quietly killing my scores. I had no idea. Two range sessions later, I was already seeing the difference.
The club comparison tool is another game changer. I imported my data from my launch monitor sessions and the app built out real dispersion profiles for every club in my bag. Now when I'm standing over a shot with a decision to make, I know which club actually gives me the best strokes gained outcome based on my real numbers, not generic yardage charts.
What sets it apart from everything else is the strokes gained math. It uses actual PGA Tour baseline tables, not approximations. If you've ever used an app that claims strokes gained but the numbers feel off, you know what I mean. This one does it right.
Free to download, no subscription, no ads, no hardware sensors. Seriously, there's no reason not to try it.
