Programmable show and pre show presets; really flexible. Interval safety switch (no more accidental stop watch presses and losing the time). Can’t recommend this more highly. ### 5/5 — Invaluable *2023-03-24* As a FOH manager this has changed the way I work. I was recommended it by another manager at a forum and have since told many colleagues about it, they also now use it. It’s great. No issues so far. Love the ability to add extra acts and intervals. As a busy touring theatre our shows vary from week to week so this works brilliantly in adapting what we have. I love that it saves previous shows incase I need to check something from the day before. The show stop timing element is great too, thankfully don’t need to use that very often. But it’s great to have. It’s honestly enhanced and made my job a lot easier. No more carrying a clipboard round and loosing my pen just before clearance. I do wonder if you ability to run two shows simultaneous would be good? We have a studio theatre and this also runs on the same nights we have main house, but just a suggestion. So thankful for it. ### 5/5 — Must have staple UPDATED *2022-10-03, version 3.0.2* Love the new design. This app is the industry standard. We produce 10+ shows a year and it is in use every night in every booth at The Denver Center Theatre Company. We love the ability to email the times to ourselves to copy and paste times into reports. Would love an Apple Watch companion app and a way to customize “interval” to “intermission” and remove “clearance” for those of us using it in the states. Thanks for updating it! *thanks for updating to include intermission! It’ll help when copying to show reports. I was thinking about Apple watch ⌚️ features this evening at intermission and besides start and stopping off acts and intervals, what would be great is just to see the interval countdown. Procedure for me is to hit your button to start intermission but then start the watch’s timer so I can put my phone away or even leave it in the booth. I don’t want to pull my phone out 5 times during intermission to check the time. I don’t know what the solution is to shortcut this but it would be nice. Question though is there a way to connect it to an Apple Watch? It would be so helpful not having to carry my phone around backstage if I have my watch on. ### 5/5 — Game changer! *2020-03-15* This app is so so useful! It helps me keep track of all my calls and communicate run times to my ASMs for the report. I also appreciate that it improves with every update! You can tell the developer really listens to the reviews. My only issue (and it’s a small one) is I wish I could have a show going on my phone and then open the app on my iPad and see the same timer still running. Maybe even some way my ASMs could see it as well. Like a show code or something that links all our devices. I know that’s probably asking a lot! ### 5/5 — Game changer *2019-06-21* So, I’ve had this app for ages but I’ve been pregnant and then on maternity. Now I’m back at work and I used this for the first time this week. It’s a totally brilliant app. It took me a while to figure out the settings I needed for the show but once that was done I don’t have to figure out timings and calls. It’s all worked out for you. So easy. You can tell it’s been designed by someone in the industry because it does everything that you need it to. Thank you for this app! BUT: you can’t manually adjust or add to the interval notifications. A real bummer. Easy to use. *2018-04-27* I’ve been searching for a Stage Management app that I can use while calling a show that is simple and efficient. After much failure of finding one I turned to the possibility of designing my own app... then I found this! The big buttons make it all worth while, and makes it simple to navigate. The features I’d like to see added in an upcoming update, would be 24 hour time, as in Australia that is more commonly used for our productions. And the possibility to turn the device landscape as my stage management desk currently doesn’t allow anywhere for a vertical phone. Overall, this is the app you need. The app you’ve all been wanting. ### 5/5 — Fantastic! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ *2018-02-21* I was recently DSM for an opera and this came in handy so much! It’s so simple to use and set up and yet so detailed in the information given at the end of the show. I spoke with the developer about adding features specific to opera ( orchestra clearance etc) and he took these on board and aims to add these soon! - first class! One little thought though would be great if you could change the interval name, I had a slight pause between act 2 and 3 and had to time it, it showed at interval 2 and ideally love to change that to pause. Apart from that little niggle it’s a fantastic app and a great help with show time recording. ### 5/5 — Great app!! *2017-12-12* Just used it for the run of Mother Courage at the Southwark Playhouse. So handy that it worked out all my pre show calls for me as I had to do different half hour calls. Fantastic app!! Customisable to your shows needs! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Deleted show I didn’t pick *2025-11-22* I just had my second show for my highschool and I used this app. I had had two files for that show one was at 9:01, another at 7:01. I picked to delete the 9:01 one, and when I hit delete it decided to delete the show file I wanted to save. Can’t get it back now- **Developer response:** Hi, Sorry that this seems to have happened, it’s something I’ll look into, this was a minor bug you were running into, it’s now fixed in 3.2.3, thanks for spotting this! For future reference it’s quicker to notify me about bugs/feature requests from within the app or via email, as its quicker to get to the bottom of the issue :) ### 1/5 — Doesn't Work. No Support *2017-05-29* The app looks like it should be slick in keeping track of time and providing notifications for calls. However, there is no support or help in using the app. I could start Open House and Clearance and Act 1. But that was it. I couldn't end Act 1, or Go to Intermissions or Act 2. If fact, the Intermissions (Intervals) or Other Acts as well as End of Show were not visible. But I find it a little confusing to navigate. What is the clipboard icon for? I tap it and nothing shows up. It would be nice to be able to save show settings and load a different show setting. It’s way too easy to accidentally click out of the app and the show stops counting. ### 4/5 — Love! *2023-02-11* Absolutely love this app. The best for all types of Stage Managers. Please bring back saved show files. It’s important for many people to switch between shows. Although currently you can save shows to excel files, they cannot be reloaded back to the app. This was one of the best parts of this app before the update! **Developer response:** Hi, really glad you are enjoying the app! This feature is possible but in a slightly different place, if in settings you choose “share settings” you can save/share the config with anyone or save it to files on iOS, then of you open the file with Show SW it’ll take your settings :) hope this helps, any other questions feel free to get in contact. ### 4/5 — Love it but… *2022-11-05* I was recommended this app by a fellow stage manager and I love it so much. Has made keeping time a lot easier. The one complaint I have with the new update is losing the option to save different show settings. I work on shows were sometime we’ve had to change or show a slight bit and do 2 versions of the show. With that, I was able to save different settings according to those versions. PLEASE BEONF THAT BACK!!!! **Developer response:** Hello - really glad to hear you like the new version. The feature you are looking for is actually possible in the new update. In Settings if you select share settings you can save all of your shows configurations. This will open the iOS share sheet so you can message show settings to colleagues or save them to files in iCloud or on your device. These configurations can easily be opened in Show StopWatch but opening the file and choosing import. They keep adding features which I use. ### 5/5 — Love it. *2024-02-15* One thing that I’d love and really miss and need is to have the current time with seconds always showing especially during the intermission when I need to write down the time of orchestra tune for act 2. I always need a second clock to do this and would love not to have the second clock. During intermission it shows the time elapsed and time remaining but not the present time with seconds. Is this possible please? Otherwise I love this app. It is beyond wonderful!
