## What is Showbound?

On the day of a show, everything you need to know is a time: when doors open, when the set starts, and when you have to walk out of your door to make it.

That is what this app is for. Inside the last 36 hours it turns into a run-of-show — doors, set time, and a leave-by time that accounts for how long it actually takes you to get there. A live countdown sits on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, so you stop opening the app to check, and you stop being the person who walks in during the opener.

Adding a show takes about thirty seconds. There is no feed, no account, and nothing to sign up for.

Afterwards, the ticket tears off and lands in your collection. It builds itself out of the shows you already tracked — no second app, no data entry. Rate it, note the setlist, remember who you went with. Over time it becomes a real record of what you went to: most-seen artists, the rooms you keep coming back to, how long it has been since you last saw someone live.

— Show-day mode: doors, set time, and a leave-by you can trust
— Live Activity and Dynamic Island countdown
— Leave-by and doors reminders
— Works for concerts, theater, comedy, and anything else with a set time
— A collection that fills itself, with stats, leaderboards, and search
— Optional routed travel time and a map of every room you have been to
— Everything stays on your device. No account, no sign-up.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.6.8 — 2026-09-03

Empty screens are tickets now. A fresh install shows a blank ticket waiting to be filled instead of a grey icon, Past shows an empty stub outline, and both offer a way to add your first show rather than leaving you at a dead end.

Friends is rebuilt on the same ticket material as the rest of the app, so it belongs beside Upcoming and Past instead of looking like a settings screen.

On show day, a brand-new show now says it fills in as the day gets closer — so an early, quiet card reads as early rather than broken.

Accessibility: VoiceOver reads the ticket and show-day cards as single tappable things, the parking and walk-back screens finally respect your text size, and tap targets across the tab bar, chips and map pins meet the standard minimum.

The collection scrolls smoothly with years of shows in it. Fixed: a bug where the app could clear shows it had synced if its local database failed to load.

### 1.6.7 — 2026-08-25

Search now shows every performance of a run, not just the first one of the day. A Wednesday matinee and its evening show are two different things, and the app finally agrees.

Plays, musicals and comedy shows are recognised as what they are rather than filed as concerts, so the app uses the right words for them and stops assuming every night runs ninety minutes.

Searching outside the US works properly — a London show now saves as a London show.

### 1.6.6 — 2026-08-24

Meet Friends: connect with people you actually know by sending them a one-time invite link, then see which upcoming and past shows you have in common. Your display name is only ever visible to someone you deliberately connected with — never public, and there is no directory to be found in. Report and block are built in, and you can delete your Friends profile from Settings at any time.

Show-day intel now looks further ahead — up to a week out instead of 36 hours — so there is more time to catch a venue change or a forecast before the day of the show.

Also: your notes, ratings, setlists and companions now stay on your device and are never sent to our server at all.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-08-22
