### 3/5 — App Buggy and old

*2026-03-14, version 1.6.1*

Issues getting files from Google Drive. In import, deselect all leaves random selections. I’m looking for a replacement.

### 3/5 — Ralls and Tempo Changes in 2 or 4 channel mode.

*2025-01-08, version 1.6.1*

Once this important feature is available, this app will truly be a high end app.

### 3/5 — Not true 4 channel audio

*2024-10-17*

Seems like a good app, but please be aware that, as far as I can tell, there isn’t true 4 channel audio.

This is kind of advertised as a 4 channel audio app if you have an interface for it, which I do. But what they really mean is that you can run a stereo backing track while outputting the click to a separate stereo output.

My use case is different. I want the drummer to hear a cue track that includes a recorded click (NOT the ShowOne internal click) along with recorded voice cues and a full stereo mix of the song. Basically I want to run two full stereo tracks side by side with one feed going to drummer and one to FOH. This is how I run tracks in Ableton, and it works well with songs that have backing tracks that aren’t locked precisely to a click, and have some variation in tempo. This is a LOT more songs than you might think.

At first glance this app seems to advertise that it does this, but if you actually try it you soon realize that their advertised “click and cue” separate stereo output track simply routes the internal voice count in and click track to a separate out. Completely useless for me.

Happy to revise this review if I’m wrong and just haven’t figured out how to realize my use case, but if that ends up being true I would have to add that the four channel output is VERY poorly documented.

If you just want a stereo output of backing tracks, or want a traditional “DJ split” with two mono tracks ( one click and one tracks) this app seems like it would work great. If you want true 4 channels, this doesn’t provide it. Wish I’d realized that before I dropped like $50 on this.

As always, YMMV.

**Developer response:** Hi - we are sorry that the app isn’t serving your needs. We’ve tried to be very clear in our online literature that currently, 4 channel mode does not allow you to add a second stereo track of your own to play at the same time, but allows the main track to play stereo through one output pair for the audience, and clicks, cues and the music to play through the other for musicians to monitor. That being said - what you’re asking for is HIGH on the priority list for future development. We are aware that it is a big limitation of our app. It’s just time consuming and costly for a small indie developer like us. Feel free to write us at support@onezerooneaudio.com to discuss a refund if that’s what you’d like to do.

### 2/5 — Expensive

*2024-03-14*

Actually this is exactly what I needed. Create a playlist in fixed order with local mp3 files. Difficult to find in the AppStore somehow. But it is way too expensive for an App that lacks basic usability and quality of life features (cannot select multiple tracks for import, every step, multiple clicks for each and every song) and it looks like a free app from 12 years back.
My honest suggestion when comparing with other apps is 0.99$. Sorry. This is how this app feels.

### 2/5 — Purchase only allows 5 songs??

*2024-02-27, version 1.6.0*

I downloaded the app, paid £8.99 (price at the time) and can only import 5 songs?? Unable to access any online help as well when clicking the support option? All I get is “error establishing a database connection” message?? 🤔

On a positive note I do like the fact that you can change tempo and pitch and for the 5 songs I am allowed to upload it works well!

Not a happy shopper!! 😡

### 3/5 — Useful app with some limitations

*2023-08-23, version 1.6.0*

I’ve used this for a handful of jazz gigs so far. It does the job but has taken a long time to get the sets ready. Features which would help:
-trim in milliseconds, not just in bars.
-durations shown in the set edit screen (toggle between track and cumulative).
-assistance to balance output volume between tracks. (Doing this solely by ear after a big import is really slow.)

### 2/5 — What Happened?

*2023-05-05*

When I first got this app I would have given it 6 stars out of five. However, lately it is becoming more and more useless. The main feature of this app for me was to be able to change the pitch of the song because most tracks are a little too high or too low. You could change the pitch a lot without it sounding weird and garbled up.

Now the slightest change in pitch makes a weird digital garbled noise in the background. I depended on this to play my concerts, and now I am going to have to find something else. It is very frustrating to say the least. I have a $16 app that is worthless.

**Developer response:** Hi - nothing has been changed in the time/pitch shift algorithm since we launched the app. The sound quality of pitch-shifted tracks should be identical to what it’s always been. Can you explain more in detail what is happening, and possibly show examples with screen or audio recordings, by sending us an email? We’d like to try and help if we can. Support@onezerooneaudio.com

### 2/5 — Solid, convenient

*2023-04-19, version 1.6.0*

If you could add, loop regions, and midi patch change with the clock out, this thing would be Go To! Thanks

### 4/5 — Does what it says but slightly limited

*2023-01-08*

This app is very good for playing backing tracks and I like the features it provides, however, I have two gripes:

1. The in-app purchases are on the nickel-and-diming side on things. Each upgrade is worth it, and they are well listed and described, however, I was surprised by the shear amount of them. I was expecting an unlock all features option. I get it though, the developers deserve compensation, and it is necessary to keep adding updates and features.

2. Only being able to output to channel 1 and 2 of an interface is a massive disadvantage. I was expecting to be able to select whichever outputs were necessary for a more complex setup. This limitation forces you to change your workflow to match what the app wants, instead of working the other way around. That’s a real downer and I hope it is addressed in the future.

Despite those two gripes, and some interface issues on modern iPhones (I’m looking at you performance mode’s close arrow), this is a pretty solid app that gets the job done.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the thoughtful and helpful review! We appreciate both the praise and the criticism and will take both to heart. We agree that having more control over outputs when connected to an interface would be beneficial to many users. We’re currently in between developers but will be resuming updates as soon as we have the right person. Thanks for using ShowOne! :)

### 4/5 — Apple Watch compatibility would make this a five star app

*2022-10-23, version 1.5.6*

Otherwise great for our little band but that feature would really make it work. Just the ability to pause and skip tracks in the basic music player would really be all you need.

### 4/5 — Good app. Use frequently: feature requests

*2022-10-11, version 1.5.6*

What would be nice is a playlist feature that you add seconds between tracks and auto play. For busking this would be great; the musician does not have to choose the next song manually but setup a customized playlist flow to jam with.

### 2/5 — Crippled

*2022-09-18*

The free version allows you to add two tracks—fair enough—but you can’t delete tracks you’ve added! Even calling this a “demo version” would be generous with such a harsh limitation.

**Developer response:** Hi - this shouldn’t be happening. You should be able to delete tracks you’ve added. Is this still happening? Please write us at our support email and we’ll try to solve. Thank you.

### 4/5 — Pretty good - would like some changes

*2022-06-02*

I love that you can change the key. I wish I’m set mode you’d allow us to string certain songs together so there’s nonstop though. Like a real bad gig, every song shouldn’t be a sop at the end. I also wish we could trim by time as well as bar. Great app though, best I’ve seen for my needs.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review and suggestions! A "track linking" or "crossfade" feature is high on the priority list for next updates for the app - stay tuned :)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t add tracks

*2025-06-25, version 1.6.1*

All my tracks are on my iPad but it’s impossible to add them. Waste of time

### 1/5 — Unfunctional

*2024-10-19, version 1.6.1*

The only tracks available to add to ShowOne are their demo tracks. I transferred all my tracks to ShowOne file storage using a USB cable and Finder, synced files, and they are not available in show one.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2024-07-15, version 1.6.0*

Everytime i try to import a track the app crashes.

### 1/5 — Click track

*2024-03-10, version 1.6.0*

Unfortunately this app claims it has an auto click track and stable , I can’t find this function so I’m assuming it doesn’t have this 😞

### 1/5 — Wont restore my songs

*2024-02-05, version 1.6.0*

This started out OK, but I didn’t use the App for a little while and when i came back to it, all my songs had gone. Tried ‘restore purchases’. The app tells me they are restored, but when i started reloading the songs it then tells me i have maxed out the free version? I am not on the free version. I paid the extra money. To cap it, I asked for support from the developer and got zero response. Very Frustrating.

### 1/5 — Inservible

*2024-01-03, version 1.6.0*

No me deja importar tracks desde iTunes ni Google drive. Necesito una devolución.

### 1/5 — Which version to buy?

*2023-08-30, version 1.6.0*

This app looks good but I need to have the left and right channels of the headphone socket play separately - which will be essential for most people. I don’t know if the ‘basic’ version allows this or if I require the additional purchase of ‘advanced’. The developers website looks like it has been hacked so getting the answer to this simple question is proving difficult 😔

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2023-04-05, version 1.6.0*

Total crap app don’t bother, I wasted £30 on the app, bloody useless, i don’t suppose he will offer me my money back

### 1/5 — No L/R volume control

*2023-01-22, version 1.6.0*

Cannot adjust the volume of the click vs track in a typical click left and track right configuration. That’s a major flaw.

### 1/5 — Battery Hog

*2021-07-05, version 1.4.0*

Deleted because of battery usage. I see the developer had a response that it’s intentional but it ate up 80% of my battery with background usage before I noticed. Was a fun little surprise so it had to go.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Vital to My Live Performances

*2025-04-29*

This app has changed the nature of my live performances as a solo artist. I am able to play drum beat tracks in a set list and send midi clock to my looper pedal to sync my loops with the beat tracks. I do three hour sets like this for several years and it has worked flawlessly. My one ask is to make the stop/pause button bigger. I sometimes miss it when I’m playing live. I need to be able to stop the track on a dime, but the button is a little small. I’m using an iPad mini.

### 5/5 — Very good in a lot of ways

*2025-02-06*

This is the third backing tracks app I have used and it is by far the best.
It is easy to import a wide range of audio file types from anywhere you can access them, locally and in the cloud.
Creating “sets” of tracks is straightforward, and manipulating playback is just as easy.
The screen layouts are simple and very well organized and the fonts are easy to read, which is essential for my eyes in their advanced age.
Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Really good

*2024-09-20, version 1.6.0*

Great to work easy to operate

### 5/5 — Let’s you record video from the same phone!

*2024-06-17*

I got this for busking, and I think it will work great for that … but I’m already delighted, because it lets you record video (using whatever app you want) while the audio is still playing from this app. I’ve never been able to get that to work before!

**Developer response:** So glad you’ve found ShowOne to be a worthy busking companion! We think it’s perfect for that too :) Thanks for the kind words!

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2024-05-26*

There are many apps for running backing or click tracks, but I like the ability to change tempo by a percentage and NOT change the pitch of the song. I also like having the ability to change the gain of a song when a track is quieter or louder than the other tracks. I have a newer iPad and it’s worked flawless for me in the 6+ months and 30+ gigs I’ve used it for. Hopefully they’ll update the app or add more features, not because it’s needed, I’m curious what they can add!

### 5/5 — ShowOne brilliant

*2022-10-02, version 1.5.6*

Brilliant app, definitely the best app available on the market. Lots of features, the best being the ability to arrange all your set lists.

### 5/5 — Perfect for Running My Backing Tracks

*2022-01-18*

I play guitar and play out in various band configurations. Sometimes full band but often with a keyboard player and solo. I use this live and for rehearsals to play backing tracks when I don't have live drums and bass or keys. I create backing tracks in BIAB. I pan drums left, bass right so I can adjust volume levels. Files import easily and quickly via Mac Finder. I previously used another app but it is no longer updated and ShowOne is easier to use. I regularly update just a few files and this app makes it easy to update the set lists. It lets me focus on playing music!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review! Our sole aim is to help musicians just like you get backing tracks in line for your gigs and rehearsals :))

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2021-12-13, version 1.5.2*

Does everything my band needs it to and more. Recommend highly if your running backing 😊

### 5/5 — Update: Problem solved! 👍🏼Something happened and now...

*2021-10-19*

UPDATE: After communicating with the team for several weeks they were able to fix this problem with the newest update to 1.5 and now integrated to the iPad. I love this app! I’ve been using it for 4 hrs now. Love that it runs in the background while being able to view charts or adjust my in ear mix. It does it seamlessly.
Highly recommend and is super easy and the workflow is fantastic!
This was a great workhorse app but now is failing. Whenever trying to create a “Set” the app closes/quits. Everything is updated and has been deleted and redownloaded several times and is still failing. I’ve done reboots, hard resets and closed all other apps. I’ve deleted all tracks and rebooted from “restore” and still fails whenever I push “Set” to create one on both the iPad and iPhone. Super bummed out.

**Developer response:** EDIT: Glad we could get this resolved for you, and thanks for updating your review! Having good communication with our users is of paramount importance to us. Happy ShowOne-ing!
Original Response: We’ve been in communication with you via email to resolve this issue. We just sent instructions on how to send us that crash log data so we can get to the bottom of this. Sorry for your trouble - this is a problem that is unique to you so if we get it resolved please consider changing this review. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Awesomeness!

*2021-06-08, version 1.3.23*

2 sets completed in no time... once I got my head around how this works 😂 big thanks...great app!
