Now, I don't use other members' reviews, so I'm not rating that functionality. My main problem with this platform is that often they ask you to review something that you've already eaten, but you CAN'T upload a photo that you took earlier!! So you need to BUY THE PRODUCT AGAIN if you wish to include a photo! I was just looking through my reviews and one was declined saying "you must review something that you've used". But it was a review for yoghurt covered raspberry jelly lolly, which is exactly what they asked me to review (so why was it declined?!)!! I'd contact customer service about this but the few times that I've contacted customer service they've been pretty useless (I DID contact them about uploading a photo from gallery!)! With all of that being said, I just withdrew about $10. If you're willing to put in a little effort to reviewing groceries - taste, nutritional concerns, etc - then given a lot of time you can make money. But given the very subjective and human-flawed nature of how reviews are accepted or rejected, you'll occasionally be frustrated!! I'm now going to delete it because it's not worth my effort. ### 3/5 — Ads are too long!!! *2026-06-14, version 3.0.36* It’s ok to add ads, but the ads are way toooooo looooonnnnnggg and require too many interactions to finish. It’s easy to use, therefore easy to make money for minimal effort. If you run into difficulties, the reps are quick to assist. I quite enjoy using this 👌🏻 ### 2/5 — Scanning receipts hidden *2026-02-25, version 3.0.28* This app is good and I have been using it for about 12 months. I have withdrawn AUD$ cash about 4 times. And twice sent rewards to Coinbase. Two recent issues: 1. Why is the receipt scanning function hidden deep behind so many menus. Isn’t this the main function of the app?! There is a barcode scanning button on the front page but what does this even do? Add a big fat receipt scanning button front and centre. 2. The rewards have reduced over the last 12 months ### 3/5 — Best Receipt App I’ve Found *2025-12-18, version 3.0.23* You can earn money quite quickly with this app if you upload as frequently as they allow. I’ve tried receipt jar but this is far better. EDIT: the app has changed, I’m not finding it anywhere as easy to earn money or withdraw money :( ### 1/5 — Terrible update *2025-08-27, version 3.0.5* Please bring the old version back. I liked seeing my receipts in my timeline and knowing when I’m actually earning something. Please update it back to the oldest version!!!!!!! ### 4/5 — Was a great app *2025-08-24* I loved this app, however they recently updated it and now the barcodes don’t show on receipts, so when I’ve gone to return an item and use the receipt uploaded on the app I couldn’t. Not sure why they would do this, you used to also be able to scroll through if you took multiple pictures of a receipt, now you can’t. Hopefully they fix it as I’ve stopped using it as much now. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2026-07-27* It use to be great, could get a decent amount back, a lot more than collecting bottles, now it’s just too much for so little return! The past 6 months with the amount of receipts reviews and booster products I buy the amount has not even reached 40$. I’m withdrawing and closing my account because I make more back from ShopBack than this now. Everything has changed as well. You have to constantly do there daily tasks or you won’t level up. I went from ambassador down to silver. All because of the new updates! It’s ridiculous. ### 1/5 — Ability to earn points is low *2026-06-21, version 3.0.36* Ability to earn points is so low now. Find it really hard to get enough points to take out money each month. Used to be really easy to get enough points to withdraw the limit. I submit multiple receipts multiple days and I still can’t do it. ### 1/5 — Video uploads *2026-06-08, version 3.0.35* They removed the option to upload video reviews without an explanation and when I questioned in the chat there’s no update at all which is not good enough. ### 1/5 — Ambassador Receipt Coins Reduced *2026-06-02, version 3.0.34* The coins from adding receipt of ambassador was greatly decreased. From 360 coins to 155 coins. After finishing the boosters, it just went down to 155 coins. It sux. ### 1/5 — Poor support *2026-02-09, version 3.0.25* The market cap of this app speaks for itself. This is worthless and you get nothing of value for your time, or your shopping. ~6c per $400 spent, pretty poor. As the time went on, my total rewards kept shrinking. Eventually I tried to withdraw some of the cash it said I accumulated . It’s been well over a week, around two weeks now actually, and I am still yet to receive any money. The same thing happened to my wife who tried to withdraw money over a month ago.
