It was originally designed for skiers and snowboarders and was supposed to be to find people to ride with. Now they have all sorts of activities, but you can’t search anymore. People just post random things and nobody responds. Feels more like another social media now. ### 1/5 — Glitchy app, no one uses it, and it won’t let you cancel *2026-04-05, version 1.1.47* Terrible app, full of bugs and glitches, no one uses and they won’t let you cancel you membership until you’ve paid, at which point they are happy to help cancel. Avoid this app. ### 1/5 — Bug *2026-04-02, version 1.1.47* Not loading app even after update ### 2/5 — Made No Friends *2026-03-10, version 1.1.42* Didn't get a single response. Got the three day trail Thursday afternoon. Cancelled it Sunday morning, still got charged smh. Thought it would be a bit more exact with time. Most subscription services are. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t open/pay to record *2026-03-10, version 1.1.42* Latest update can’t even open app, just loads for 2 min before crashing. Also the pay the record is bs, download any resort app and record for free. ### 1/5 — Paywall *2026-03-10, version 1.1.42* App makes you build your profile, put in effort, and then limit any interaction behind a paywall. Feels scamy **Developer response:** Sorry you felt that way. Shredder has changed significantly since this version, including how much of the core experience is available without upgrading. ### 1/5 — Ghost town *2026-03-06, version 1.1.42* Good concept for an app but there was about four people from my area and most of the people have a pretentious ski attitude ### 2/5 — Crashes constantly *2026-03-04, version 1.1.41* Every time you try to open a profile it crashes?! ### 1/5 — Keeps crashing *2026-03-04, version 1.1.41* Crashes, cleared all the data, and still crashes. ### 1/5 — Useless after last major update *2026-03-04, version 1.1.41* Connect function got paywalled, literally the only reason to use the app and they ruined it ### 1/5 — Nothing is free. Ran by AI *2026-03-03, version 1.1.41* Want to match with people? You must pay. Want to message somebody? You must pay. Want to track your shredding sessions? You must pay. Have a support question? No real humans, only chatGPT answers. Two months ago they promised a free month of premium in return for my feedback. Two months later and not only do I not have premium, I can’t even get a real human response. I never leave 1 star reviews but after wasting more time reaching out to support than it took the developer to vibecode this app with ai, this seems the only way to warn others from wasting their time as well. It’s a real shame because on paper this app sounds like a great idea. But the execution and customer support is terrible. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — MFA busted *2026-11-03, version 3.0.3* Haven’t been able to test the new app. The register account MFA is busted for sms. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback, would love to assist you in your trouble with the the SMS verification. Would you be able to add any more information about the problem you are experiencing? ### 1/5 — They ruined this app *2026-10-30, version 3.0.1* It used to have trail cams, weather and almost none of that social media feel. That feel isn’t something you want in an app like this ### 1/5 — STD portal *2026-10-25, version 2.1.12* Find your std for the day ### 1/5 — Nerfed by the update *2026-10-15, version 2.1.12* Features are super limited now likely because they want to get their existing users to buy the outrageously priced in-app options. $200 a year for an app?!? ### 1/5 — Nonsense *2026-09-30, version 2.1.11* Don’t bother. It’s scammy. Can’t talk to anyone unless you pay 80 a year. or $13 a month. ### 1/5 — Fake app *2026-09-29, version 2.1.11* The app isn’t real, you can see all the accounts are actually just bots. No one has any connections, all the post are made from a foreign name with nothing on them. Was hoping to use the app to meet up with new friends on the slopes but sadly this isn’t the one. All the reviews are lies so don’t believe them. :/ ### 1/5 — App doesn’t load *2026-08-02, version 2.1.4* No matter what the app will never completely load. Can’t see photos can’t see profiles, can’t see my own profile. ### 1/5 — Privacy concern - do not download *2026-04-29, version 2.0.0* This app feels a little sus. Like another review said, maybe this was buried in terms and conditions, but I felt a little uneasy seeing an instagram reel with a screenshot of my shredder profile being used to advertise their app. I immediately deleted my account when I saw this. Unless you don’t mind your name and photo being used in advertisements, I do not recommend this app. ### 1/5 — Not working *2026-04-26, version 1.1.51* Not loading at all past log in. ### 1/5 — Not working *2026-04-18, version 1.1.49* Hasn’t been working for weeks. Just updated to latest version and it still doesn’t work. It times out when finding matches and says “Connect unavailable”. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — I really want to use this app but I’m 16 and I ski in park city Which I see a lot of people here do. *2026-09-03, version 2.1.7* Is there way we can make a teen one 14+ ### 5/5 — fix bugs ver 2.1.6 *2026-09-01, version 2.1.6* i am unable to add my age on my phone ### 5/5 — Super awesome app! *2026-07-17, version 2.1.4* I just recently moved away from my hometown and didn’t have anyone to snowboard with. Every time I would go to the mountain it was hard meeting new people that weren’t just on vacation or temporarily there. So I saw this app on Tiktok and it looked super awesome and I downloaded it! It was super easy to meet new people that were local to the area and now I’ve been shredding with them ever since! ### 5/5 — Sick social app! *2026-06-02, version 2.1.0* This app is epic it allows me to post about the activities I love to do and find more likeminded outdoor people to go on fun missions with!🤙🏼 ### 5/5 — The social hub!! *2026-05-26, version 2.1.0* Friendly ui and does a good job at handling interests and getting u to places u’d wanna be at ### 5/5 — Inspired me to hike more *2026-05-26, version 2.1.0* Met some really cool people to hike together with! ### 5/5 — No more lonely shred days *2026-03-12, version 1.1.42* 4.5/5 UX experience on app 5/5 on connecting people to shred together! Actually met people who wanted to go ski together and it was actually dope! ### 5/5 — Amazing *2026-03-06, version 1.1.41* Love this app, downloaded it to see the mountain cams of resorts!! Perfect app ### 5/5 — Amazing app with giveaways *2026-02-24, version 1.1.41* The app is amazing, so useful to find cool buddies to ski with. I love that the team is so involved with the community! ### 5/5 — quality tracking *2026-02-24, version 1.1.41* i’ve used this app the past 2 seasons and absolutely loved it. the stats don’t compare to any other ski tracker, and are always accurate. i also love that you can connect with others on it, and i have even met up with a group i found through the app --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
