A Must Have App
Medrea is by far the best compression app on the App Store. It has more features than just compression such as:
1. Format conversion
2. Video to Live Photo or animation (WebP, AVIF, or GIF)
3. Audio extraction from video
4. Removing metadata
In addition to what I previously mentioned, Medrea provides image and audio editing tools like what it provides for videos.
The most important thing to know about this app that it utilizes the power of Apple Silicon which means it does not upload your photos or videos to a shady third-party website.
Also, what I loved the most is that it is a one time purchase for all of my Apple devices including my iPhone, iPad, and Mac mini.

Smooth Compression - Edit - Wrote this the Friday before 1.14 with In App Purchase was added.
Batch compression without ads and a slick interface on iOS. Really nicely done. Haven’t used all the tools but the video compression and having a clear cache in app is well thought out.
Would be nice to have select all function after compressing batches as clicking save one at a time is a bit much. But nice to have a share function, save to iCloud Photos album or save to iCloud files options.
Not gonna ding it a star for that. But plz add that if possible!

Developer has fixed the lifetime unlock plan
I contacted the developer via email, and he informed me that I should restart the app or redeem the lifetime offer via a link. I am updating my review to reflect this great move by the developer.
Still one of my most used & favorite apps (even with the new in-app subscription purchase)
I worried this app would eventually switch to locking features behind a paywall - and while a paywall was added to the newest update, its’ core features are still unlocked for free. The paid subscription does unlock some useful features, but I’m happy that the app still does what I need it to do without having to pay for a subscription. And by the way, it does what I need it to do very well! Thank you.

I’m truly honored to receive your review. I noticed your 5-star rating at the time and it made me very happy. The “save all with one tap” feature has already been developed, but hasn’t been released yet. I also hesitated for a long time about adding in-app purchases—I didn’t really want to include them, as they can affect the overall user experience.
