First off, I PASSED!Secondly, this app is the reason I PASSED so easily! The questions were almost EXACTLY the same on the test. I passed with 2.5 hours to spare.I have a fairly good background in HR and did study thoroughly, so this app doesnt get all the credit. However, none of the other sample quizzes I purchased were this spot on. Having it on the phone made studying even easier as I could do it anywhere. Seeing the answers and reasons to the answers immediately added so much value. It doesnt have an app, but you can login using a browser on your phone. It looks good enough on my phone to study with (Motorola Z3).The cost of the app compared to the benefit, its probably the most worthwhile investment you will make in your journey to become an HR leader.I believe in formal studying, so don't avoid doing that, but this app basically gave me the answers to half the exam. A couple minor issues with the app not showing answer choices but that happened probably twice in the couple months of using it daily. Try it out anx see! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Forcing you to upgrade *2022-12-22* So I hade two issues with this app. The first thing is the app is not calculating your correct answers correctly. So for example you get a 100% the systems will say you have 4 questions wrong. Secondly I purchased the $49.99 plan for 12 weeks. The app is forcing me to upgrade to the annual plan by literally not allowing me to see the explanation until you sign up for the $99 annual upgrade. I still have 2 months for My subscription. So for these two reasons I would stay away from this app. Because you will have to start all over with another one. ### 1/5 — Update! *2022-12-15* 12/8/22: it stopped working again. I have to log out/in each time I open the app. Today when I logged into the app. It cleared out all the courses I completed and now I have to start over?!?! 11/28/22: Support was quick and fixed my account. Thank you! Taking the test in Feb 2023. So far the app has been good. 11/27/22:I purchased for 12 weeks on 11/17/22 and today it’s asking me to purchase again. I logged out and tried to log in again and it’s telling me user not found?!?!?!? Help! ### 1/5 — Not a fan *2022-05-26* I know there are different questions that will be asked during the test, but when answering the questions most of them have NOTHING to do with HR and the exam. Waste of money. ### 1/5 — Not a Free Trial & Not HR Questions *2022-04-25* I was immediately charged 37.40 even though it stated there was a free trial. All the quizzes are medical related not HR. U can click on the subjects and do a few HR quizzes that way but the main quizzes are Medical related questions. What gives? Also, took my first quiz and wow, so many mistakes and glitches. Finally, if you’re in it for the SHRM-SCP exam, don’t bother, it’s not available, just SHRM-CP. Avoid this app if you want to avoid headaches like sitting on the phone trying to get Apple to cancel a bogus purchase. ### 1/5 — Awful *2022-01-19* Tons of glitches. There are questions that say “there are 4 correct answers, choose all that are correct” and there are only 2 answer options. So you fail that question. Every time I try to go on, it wants me to sign up even though I already have. And I believe I have gotten charged multiple times now even though I hit “restore.” So I’ll have to waste time looking into that. Avoid this app. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work right *2021-11-04* It literally does not give any HR related questions. I did pass the first time.I would give yourself plenty of time to learn these concepts, but these do cover most competencies that SHRM wants you to learn. Make sure you learn the competencies first, but allow yourself time to understand how to apply them. Give yourself time to complete the practice tests too! The actual test takes a lot more time than the practice tests, so take these as many times as you can to prep. ### 5/5 — Love it *2022-10-31, version 1.1* There aren’t a lot of study guides out there that are tried and true however this was one of the apps with THE most highest review. Although it had a few grammatical errors, the content was good and provided me with practice questions that I could take. I supplemented this app with the study flash card system by Mometrix. I used both to self-study diligently over a 2 months period and took the SHRM-CP this past Friday.... and was able to pass on the first try. I think what helped me was to review the exam contents and have the flash cards with the content to review every chance I get.
