This app is great, but it uses a UK mushroom database. While Europe is far superior than the US in its mushroom history and the mycology ranks, mushrooms and hunting are very specific to their respective regions. Easy example: Fly Agaric in Minnesota are generally yellow with white spots, not red with white spots. ### 3/5 — Great but very limited *2025-07-22, version 1.5* This app is very detailed for the species of fungi it has. I appreciate the simple design of the interface. The only issue I have with this app is the narrow amount of fungi is has. It only holds the “top” fungi or the most recognizable fungi. I really wish it had a much larger base of species to ID, as the ones it has could be identified very easily without the app. It’s worth the purchase for your first intro to fungal ID, but it’s not much help after a short time. ### 4/5 — Add function?? *2025-07-21, version 1.5* APP is affordable and user friendly. It is extremely helpful and useful, I would like to suggest two little edits tho. Where it says that a mushroom is either edible or poisonous to make the title have some background behind the text so it’s not asker to read/spot.
