First of all I couldn’t download the latest edition or see the facsimile of the paper itself, just a series of articles. I deleted and reinstalled the app and could then see the facsimile, but of yesterday’s paper, not today’s. The same thing happens on my other devices, so needs fixing. ### 2/5 — Help *2022-10-10* Since it’s been updated I can’t see the last 2 days paper,only Friday (it’s Monday today),how come ### 4/5 — Shropshire Star. *2021-10-06* As I live in Telford I had the Telford edition of the Star delivered…for some reason my team Shrewsbury Town seemed to get less coverage than the much smaller club Telford United. So I changed several years ago to the Shrewsbury digital edition and everything seemed better….now Wolverhampton Wanderers seem to get massive coverage….even though Wolverhampton on all my maps and sat nav does not appear to be in Shropshire. Most of the local news is ok as it should be….with very little news from outside the County…so why the obsession with Wolves? Note…Shrewsbury appear to get little coverage in the Express and Star!….apart from the Monday edition. As your paper is no longer a night paper it has no advantage over the big titles. One last thing, Andy Richardsons continual sniping at the Conservatives it is becoming a joke in our household. ### 4/5 — Completely Useless - Will not Load. *2020-04-09, version 2.9.10* I installed this app a couple of days ago on a brand new iPad Pro. It worked once only, then ceased to load, reverting to the screen icon. This is what we pay for Shropshire Star??? ### 2/5 — Crashes since update to iOS 13.4 *2020-04-01, version 2.9.10* As soon as the app is opened on iPhone 10, it immediately closes again. Was fine before the update. The Shropshire Star is the most important local newspaper in Shropshire and as such represents the County. The indifference of the paper to providing news through the app gives the impression that the organisation “can’t be bothered” or is “uninterested” in serving the population of the County which reflects badly on our area. Again, an awful attitude from the organisation. ### 1/5 — Digital app not working *2019-09-01, version 2.9.10* Please help as I can’t log into the digital Shropshire Star. I’m still paying for it but can’t access it 🙁 it has suddenly stopped working. ### 4/5 — Can’t login to my digital account! *2019-04-11* Please sort the app! I am paying for a digital service that I cannot log into, it was working fine, and the n suddenly stopped working for no obvious reason, and won’t allow me to log back in again. Please fix!! Good to say that the developers reacted quickly, and i am now able to log back via the app, advised by email that all was now ok. Thanks for prompt attention! ### 1/5 — Pretty poor *2018-10-13* I can only describe this as a dreadful application. It’s very slow and doesn’t always update, therefore doesn’t display the latest content. Images are statically sized and so often appear stretched/elongated. I don’t think any testing is done on this app and development is pretty poor. I think they need to get some professional app designers in. I go to the website instead. Having spent many years successfully accessing the papers physically and online, the new format for reading the papers has become very difficult. Feedback suggests that this is the result of temporary glitches, perhaps the paper could revert to the old format, which was satisfyingly easy to access while the new one is sorted out. We are not in a position to cancel our subscription and our volunteers are spending too much time trying to navigate the site. ### 1/5 — Really slow *2022-11-09* Really really slow to load pages even when phone is in full 5g. I have now ended my subscription 1 year ago. Editions are now prompt and back to normal 👍 15 May. After using this app since December I have gradually come across problems with it, there have been many times when some daily editions have not been available until quite late in the afternoon, just like what happened today, except this time after it finally downloaded only pages 1,2,3,15,31 and 58 are available to read no matter how many times I refresh the page, they say no news is good news, but 6 pages is not worth paying for…..some of those pages are full advertisements. Maybe it’s getting near time to unsubscribe if there is no improvement! 18 Dec 2020 This is a great way to read the paper, it can be daylight outside when I start reading and before I know it it’s dark, but on the iPad - no problem. Very pleased with this app, I initially only intended to subscribe for a month, but after just 5 days I have decided to make this permanent, it’s also great having a scrapbook “star button” that saves selected pages, and, I don’t have to waste anymore paper.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ### 1/5 — Worse than useless *2020-06-02, version 3.0.1* The app is a total waste of effort - since upgrading my phone the app doesn’t work at all what a poor show by Shropshire’s biggest publication ### 1/5 — Frustrated *2020-05-20, version 2.9.10* The app has stopped working since the last IOS update. Have reinstalled a number of times now. App works first time then stops and logs itself out. Since then a new app has been launched which has finally caught up with IOS. At last the news is accessible. And now a new version of the app is clunky and does not open with a new episode. It takes a while to be able to read a new paper unlike the previous interim app which worked very effectively. What a shame. If I travel away from home and try to log in I invariably get problems and end up having to delete the app and then download and reactivate my subscription! When is app going to be sorted? ### 5/5 — Amazing stuff well done! *2012-01-17* This is a great little app, I admit it is not great for the I phone as it can take a little time to get used to moving and enlarging the articles to read. Not sure if you could do it but links from the job pages would be great? Like I said not sure you could do it? Having the I phone and I pad, I will say the I pad is the way to go if you want this as the quality is great and no messy papers and or black fingers. No treading to the store to get it and all for a great price. I will be having it weekly as I can't fault it.
