## What is Shu's Garden?

As Shu, a space-cactus of the bouncy persuasion, you spring from planet to planet, spreading plant life and finding new friends. Create a forest! Enjoy a splash in a pond! Play tag with a bee! Make weird hybrid plants! Launch a giraffe into orbit!

Shu’s Garden is a fully open playground with no hard goals, scores or missions. Just kick back, explore and experiment in this space-garden full of friends, foliage, and fun.

An all-ages videogame by Colin Sanders and Jason RT Bond.

HOW TO PLAY
Tilt your device left and right to roll Shu around. Touch and hold on the right side of the screen to shrink, and release to jump! Touch and hold the left side of the screen to eat any plants you pass by. And, finally, when you have picked up any blossoms, you can shake the device to scatter seeds in a new place.

THE CREATORS
Shu’s Garden is created by Colin Sanders (design, sound, music) & Jason RT Bond (design, art, animation), but important contributions were made by Ami Matsuda (voice, Japanese translation), Mike Bond (grass) and Ornella Bertrand (French translation). All of them live in Toronto, Canada.

### 5/5 — resolution problem

*2025-04-26*

wish dev could update the game to fullfill the screen of new phone models, it has black space in all edges and so the game scene is too small that makes my eyes hurt

### 5/5 — Hard to find

*2023-10-28*

Just an FYI message for the developers and team for this wonderful game. If I try to search for this game using the Apple App Store with a cell phone, I am unable to find the game. I had to use the Google browser, then find a link that would launch the Shu’s Garden app main page in the App Store.

### 5/5 — Peaceful

*2020-05-12*

This game is relaxing and fun

### 1/5 — No idea what to do in game

*2020-04-30, version 2.6.2*

After 5 minutes I’m left wondering what I’m supposed to do in this game. No clear direction and bored after 2 minutes

### 5/5 — So cute!

*2019-10-11*

Very chill, relaxing game. Love it.

### 1/5 — Do NOT buy

*2018-03-15, version 2.6.2*

What a total waste. Zero play-zero fun- there’s absolutely nothing about this app that makes it a “game” or even remotely fun. 👎👎👎👎👎

### 1/5 — Can't even enjoy the 3 bucks I spent

*2017-03-13*

The app crashes immediately after launch and I can't find anyway to contact the developers. I'll definitely take this up with Apple to get my money back.

### 3/5 — Need to work it out

*2015-02-17*

Bought this as on the The Guardian top 10 list of apps for kids. None of us can work out how to play it though. It looks like it could be great, lovely animation and sound but I need to work it out to explain to my son. Has potential!

### 5/5 — Beautifully made

*2014-07-18, version 1.3.3*

Since the last update it has stopped crashing and is amazing! Love this game, definitely worth the money

### 5/5 — This is a must-buy app

*2014-07-10, version 1.3.2*

I cannot recommend this beautiful app highly enough. It had my 4yo, her 10yo cousin, myself, and their grandmother all entranced. Lots of fun exploring and sharing discoveries to be had. I even like the music. It's like a garden-planting Katamari Damancy for kids (and grown ups too)!
