Their AI slop overview is part of this contempt. This is true for most big tech companies including Apple! Google is using their AI to pull content from sites where they also serve ads. I don't believe the sites get paid for ad impressions when Google does this. So essentially Google is stealing from the same people they provide ads to in the first place by scraping their sites and vomiting up these disgusting amalgams via Gemini. When the extension briefly stopped working the developer, Sid, was incredibly responsive and had the problem resolved in under 24hrs. Couldn’t recommend this more.
