That it works occasionally, it deserves more than 1 star (garbage). Sometimes, I can connect in as few as 20 seconds, other times (no rhyme or reason) it can take 10 minutes or more to connect after fiddling around with a variety of ‘settings’. There is no reason why a ‘mature’ application that has undergone multiple updates should not connect instantly (less than 0.5 seconds). I can understand an initial setup, however once setup, simply turning on my Sony camera and Shutter should cause Shutter to activate instantly. This application cannot be relied upon in any case where there is the need to connect and take a picture quickly. When photographing today’s eclipse, I gave up and used a 2-seconds time delay to capture photos. Photographing wildlife, forget it. I’ve always found it challenging and have given up on using their apps. Shutter is easy to use and solved my problems with remote and transfers. I recommend it. Also, if this app could connect to the camera with a usb or even a capture card it would be a great addition for recording saving a ton of money instead of buying an atamos ninja phone setup. The internal interval function is rubbish as it doesn’t give the option to refocus between shots.
