There’s is a bug currently for the IPhone 13 pro so users beware. I even paid the additional dollar hoping it would work but doesn’t. Works fine on my iPad. When I connected my phone to my MacBook and started the app, I had OBS open. When I tried to create a video capture source my phone did not appear. I simply restarted OBS and everything worked. I have a grey box as preview and just an outline on OBS. It’s not working **Developer response:** Hello! This is more than likely an issue with OBS and not ShutterCast. Let’s get it resolved. Let’s make sure that your Mac’s security settings are all set up right. On your Mac go to System Preferences, Security and Privacy, select the Privacy tab at the top, under Camera make sure that OBS is checked on, under Screen Recording make sure that OBS is checked on. There is no way to rotate to landscape mode, and it must be plugged into the computer you are using via usb cable. It claims you can flip to landscape using transform in the software. While this rotates it, it must then be stretched to fit making it lower quality. This app could be better. This should not be a paid app. It should be free. When you download “free” app they charge you a fee under $2. You never agree to buy that, they just charge you and send you receipt post fact. You write them e-mail - no answer from customer service! Please contact us via the app and we can get you help right away! ### 1/5 — perfect for macs - only one flaw! *2021-05-04, version 2.2* i was able to record my very first youtube video using this app and have it immediately ready for me to edit on my laptop thanks to OBS. Just for that i’m going to give it 5 stars. The main problem now is that it seems like there is no way to lock the camera’s autofocusing. This means that in my first video if you pay attention you can see the image suddenly change focus + lightening settings and then change back, simply based on my change in gestures (and nothing else). hopefully in future versions i can lock the autofocus of the camera ### 1/5 — Does NOT work with PC *2021-01-26, version 2.1* I’m sure it’s posted somewhere but I missed it. Have a great day! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Good app but falls short *2022-01-28, version 2.3* I enjoy this app, but it could be amazing. I use my iphone 13 Pro Max as a B-cam in studio with this app. It works great as a basic no thrills camera. Newer iPhones have amazing lenses and software narrowing the gap of DSLR cameras. Unfortunately this app doesn’t use any of that magic. I thought I was going to be able to use the f-stops from cinema mode, but no. In fact you cannot use any settings like exposure or white balance which is a huge disappointment. Even using auto focus, there’s no way to tell what your focusing on. I also find it odd that the “menu display” (boxes that let you switch cameras) will display on video. Unless your doing a tutorial about using this app, I’m pretty sure no one wants to display that to the world. Can you please fix that? This app works well if you want a basic webcam that’s better than your built in laptop camera. If they can add in professional settings, like these advanced phones already use, it will be gold. For the money, this is amazing. I tried EpocCam and it never worked for me. So I used OBS and ShutterCast to turn my iPhone 5c into a webcam for my meetings. And it was great!
