## What is SHV FSVL?

Welcome to the preview version of the Swiss Hang Gliding Association’s official app! 

Your comprehensive guide to preparing for and carrying out a safe flight – anywhere, anytime. 
This is the SHV’s vision for this app. 
In this first preview release, the focus is entirely on the weather. It offers you not only all the products you’re already familiar with from the SHV’s range, but many more besides. With data from sources you know and can trust. And all presented intuitively and accessibly in a modern design.

But this version is just the beginning: many more features – particularly those going beyond the weather – are already in development and will be coming your way soon. We’d love for you to join us on this journey and would appreciate your feedback. Send us your thoughts and help us make the app even better. 

CURRENT MEASUREMENT DATA
 A large number of weather stations provide continuous data so you can get a clear picture of the current situation. We are constantly working to connect further stations and increase coverage. For selected station pairs, there is also a clear display of current pressure differences. 

FORECAST MAPS
 To provide an ideal understanding of the general weather situation, the app offers Europe-wide map views with useful combinations of temperature, theta-E values and pressure distributions. A precipitation radar, along with forecasts for precipitation, cloud layers and wind maps at various altitudes, complete the offering in Switzerland and neighbouring countries. 

FÖHN & EMAGRAM FORECASTS
Spot signs of the Föhn wind using a combination of pressure difference forecasts at various altitudes and selected emagram forecasts – easily accessible via the map. 

OUTLOOK 
Plan your next ideal flying day with the clear display of precipitation probabilities and the relative duration of sunshine for the coming days.
