When I started looking around back in early April, I found the cost of an out-of-state move to be ridiculously expensive yet with almost everybody I checked with it was within $500 of each other. I’m hoping that AARP will be able to do better than that for me because I really need to keep my expense is way way down. Missed the first call because the email I got said the call would be done through this app, so I wasn’t expecting a call from an unknown number. Anyway, did a second call, listed everything in my apartment, rep said they’d have quotes in a day or two… and then nothing. Never received the quotes, and (8 days later) rep hasn’t responded to email or text. I got a quote from Allied instead, who have been far more helpful and responsive. ### 4/5 — Pleased so far. *2023-09-04* Was not happy with initial contact at time scheduled, called me 20 minutes late when the call was only to be 15 minutes to begin with. Did not recognize that she was late. I was not happy. Zoran on the other hand was very nice and accommodating. He knew to refresh the screen immediately so we could resume the walk through. When it did work, the audio was very clear and the visuals were all crisp and clear. It’s much easier to deal with than other face to face meeting apps I’ve used. However, the orientation of the camera could not be changed, which made it difficult to get some of the larger items fully captured on screen. ### 4/5 — A modern approach to moving *2020-08-14, version 1.1.2* Moving companies are notoriously stuck in the stone ages when it comes to embracing technology and I really like the effort Shyft has put in subverting that. The app is clean and responsive. I was able to try out the virtual move consulting and it all went very smoothly. However, the app is a little rough around the edges. It is clear that this product being built out and I look forward to seeing a more complete app, once it is done. Features like live shipment tracking and moving resources (videos and articles maybe?) might fit nicely in the app. ### 5/5 — Moving Manager Video Call *2023-10-03* This call went very smoothly and did not take an extreme amount of time. The account manager was friendly and helpful. Our call ended with me feeling confident and assured that my move would go smoothly.
