### 2/5 — BEWARE what you share!!!

*2021-10-22, version 4.2.1*

I signed up for Sibly thinking they would help a ton with having someone to talk to. For 46$ a WEEK that is to be expected. They were reasonably helpful and always got back to me. However I had to consistently voice what I was looking for was not just them parroting back to me. Things were going well until one day I had a severe anxiety symptom I found very concerning. I told Sibly I did not need their help with this, and how the receptionists at my doctor’s office were giving me anxiety. I clarified I was getting the help I needed and had talked with other providers and who said it wasn’t an immediate concern. I had no history of mentioning anything remotely concerning, and they helped me. I thought all was well. the next day a lead coach reached out to me out of the blue saying they’d need to talk with me. I read reviews from the App Store and knew this meant the end of care. They made me wait for over 24 hours and said I couldn’t talk to anyone else in the meantime. I ended care immediately. I found a new website, a better one, called iPrevail, who, for 9.99 a month, have unlimited messaging features with trained people responding right away. Or you can get 90 minutes a day of chatting FOR FREE. SO much better than Sibly already. Would highly recommend NOT using this especially if you’re going through a rough time.

### 2/5 — Not a wellness app

*2021-09-13, version 4.1.0*

This app was advertised to me as a wellness app with reps who would help you put together a plan for health and wellness. Instead they just keep asking questions and validating what I say over and over with no end in the conversation. I used to be a counselor for Crisis Text Line so I know how it works, but with no work to end the questioning and create a plan, it’s just not helpful to me. For someone who just needs someone to talk with it could be useful.

### 4/5 — 24 hours and feeling better already

*2020-05-23, version 2.0.1*

So far I’ve been using Sibly app for about 24 hours and have found the coaches to be very helpful. I’m feeling motivated to set small goals for myself again, and feeling better overall with my mental health and wellness. I love the convenience of everything on my schedule to pick and choose when I sign in to chat, and knowing the coaches are always there to chat with is the best part. Thanks Sibly!

### 3/5 — Useless

*2019-11-03, version 1.14*

No “listeners” on app anymore. The form to fill out for a “therapist” won’t scroll down so I can’t fill it out. I can’t talk to anyone but a robot. This made me feel worse rather then better which is exactly the opposite of what this app is supposed to do.

### 3/5 — What? ;_;

*2019-10-21, version 1.13*

I might sound like an idiot, but...what do I do to put in the access code? I really don’t know how. Please help ;-;

### 3/5 — Help

*2019-09-25, version 1.12*

I couldn’t even try out the app because it asked me for an access code and I don’t know what it means, Help

### 4/5 — Help!

*2019-07-02, version 1.11*

Ok so what the hell is an access code??? I can’t use the app without it.

### 1/5 — Bad listeners

*2019-05-13, version 1.10*

If you just want to make some new habits like going for a run every day or eating healthier then this is the app for you. Don’t use this app if you are going through a difficult transition and just need an ear to listen. They will just tell you repeatedly to go see a therapist (and won’t listen if you tell them it’s not a viable option) and then kick you off your service unceremoniously. I mentioned, that I’m often dissociated due to stress, didn’t ask for advice or counseling around it, I just mentioned it, and due to that comment they told me they had to discontinue my account if I didn’t go see a therapist. I live in the middle of no where in a country that doesn’t have therapists. I would have to take a 3 hour train ride to the city and maybe $200-300 dollars an hour out of pocket for a session with a Psychiatrist. So great. Thanks for nothing Sibly.

### 1/5 — Very Disappointed

*2019-04-27, version 1.10*

I tried to either log in to the app or register and I couldn’t even get into the app this is very inconvenient and upsetting situation when I need help and this is not helping me

### 1/5 — New user

*2019-04-19, version 1.10*

Use the app for one day as a new user before the update and had a wonderful experience. Now the app won’t even open without crashing or showing a blank white screen. So disappointed.

### 2/5 — Financially expensive

*2019-04-11, version 1.9.10*

If you could make this app blessed financially expensive like 9.99 a month For people like me who are on disability and 95% of their check goes to living expenses then I would purchase the app and use it daily. It would be a great convenience to me considering I struggle very hard every day. I can’t afford something expensive.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Help!

*2021-04-16, version 2.0.12*

I don’t know how i can get that code?

### 1/5 — Why it is not public?

*2020-11-02, version 2.0.7*

I listened to one of the owner of the app. He said that the purpose of this app is to be able to talk to someone 24/7. Since this is the purpose, why the app requires a code from an organization to be able to register? I am really disappointed, you guys should provide the whole steps for the normal person (who knows nothing) to be able to register in the description.

Thanks

### 1/5 — Ridiculously useless without some external referral source

*2020-10-08, version 2.0.7*

Offers nothing unless supported from somewhere....

### 1/5 — Quality has gone down drastically

*2020-07-07, version 2.0.3*

The quality of the service has gone down drastically in the last two months. I’ve been happily using the service since March of 2019 until recently.

It is so sad because it used to be wonderful, the coaches really read what you would type and remember things you had mentioned in the past.

Lately, you literally have to ask the Sibly coaches to do their jobs. Ask them to read your responses again because they clearly just picked out a couple of keywords and responded to them. Multiple times, consistently throughout many conversations.

You can kind of accept that from a friend if you’re always leaning on them for emotional support but this is a service you are paying real money for.

### 1/5 — No Access Code? Forget it.

*2019-12-30, version 1.16*

I’m not sure why you need a code to even use this app, but it really deters and turns away anyone else who isn’t part of an ‘organization’ that can create an access code. If you were like me, hoping to download a helpful mental health app and didn’t realize or even know that you needed to have one of these so called codes, then don’t bother downloading.

### 1/5 — Access Code

*2019-08-26, version 1.11*

Nowhere on their advertising or description does it say we need a code to use the app. I was so excited to have something to really help me. Not worth the storage. Not worth the time.

### 1/5 — Suicidal Termination

*2019-07-29, version 1.11*

As any person with depression knows, we all often have suicidal thoughts. I mentioned a few times when I didn’t feel good and it was on my mind but I was safe and wasn’t going to do anything. Just needed to rant. They made me talk to a lead coach which on its own gave me anxiety. The lead coach then said due to what I said a month ago about being suicidal they are terminating my account because I need extra help as I mentioned I have a medication dr and a therapist and an emergency line and a hospital down the street as I stated to them. I loved this app prior it helped me get things off my chest without feeling like a burden like always. They just reassured the thoughts in my head about me being crazy and a burden and it threw me into a complete shaking hyperventilating full blown breakdown. They did however give me a refund of my $25 when I messaged them how upset I was, but no reply about anything. Just the refund. Like I said great app. Just I guess hold in what you say. You can’t be too honest.

### 1/5 — It asks for a code

*2019-07-14, version 1.11*

It asks for a code in order for you to use the app if you don’t have one you can’t use it

### 1/5 — Pricing?

*2019-05-27, version 1.10*

How about you post your prices in the description so I don't have to waste my time getting through the questionnaire just to find out how much you cost?

### 1/5 — Completely shady and misleading

*2019-05-20, version 1.10*

No where in the app store does it mention needing to pay for a subscription. Very cruel and misleading. Shame on the developers for not being upfront about the cost, which you only find out after you sign up, go through the whole process, and are met at the end with an option to pay, and only then will it show you the cost.

### 5/5 — THIS IS HOW MENTAL HEALTH IS SUPPOSED TO BE!!!!

*2021-05-26, version 2.1.12*

I want to believe that everyone has access to mental health services on demand. But good luck finding help for yourself or a family member when nobody is available in your area. Talkspace? Nope. Lyra? Nope. All take time and can’t do ASAP. Sibly is pretty awesome and ALWAYS available. THIS is how you deliver care. Idk how they do it, but it works!!!!!! Wow!!!!!

### 5/5 — Works great alongside therapy

*2020-11-29, version 2.0.9*

I’ve used this app in the past and I reinstalled it a few months ago. If you are looking for someone to talk to or even to organize your thoughts, this is a great app. I suffer from bipolar, ptsd, and a variety of other mental illnesses. I can’t expect my therapist to always be there so this is a great way to track my moods. It is also great to organize my thoughts and struggles. I’m not great at talking about how I feel and this app helps a lot with that. Typically what happens is that you will send a message and that message is typically rewritten back to you much more eloquently. You may have the occasional feedback question but mostly it’s all what you have said. For me this is great to investigate my thoughts and feelings and translate them. I do not recommend this app if you are looking for an in-depth conversation about what’s going on with you. Nor will they tell you what to do or guide you on any path. That’s where therapy comes in. If you need guided therapy or someone to help you through a struggle this isn’t it. That being said I find ranting on this app helpful because reading back what I’ve said in a nutshell can give me perspective on if I am being ridiculous or not. My biggest advice for this app is to use it with therapy to help you meet your therapy goals or to keep your thoughts organized for your therapist. Otherwise it can be frustrating to not get the feedback you are looking for.

### 5/5 — This App is a Game-Changer

*2020-05-20, version 2.0.1*

I have never loved an app so much. It’s a different kind of love, it is a perfect way to be able to reach out to a human person, a human coach, a human connection, for guidance and wisdom in conquering life’s situations in an easy and effective way. The coaches here are stellar, listening actively and responding perfectly to each individual situation and message, while also providing excellent prompts and questions to really help you identify the core issue.
Needless to say, I am so glad my employer utilizes and provides/supports a service like this.
This is a life changer.

### 5/5 — Affordable reasonable REAL HELP

*2020-03-26, version 1.18*

Sibly, why are you no longer available to the public?

Old review*I'm really thankful for this right now. I've always wanted a therapist but have never been able to afford one. I tried better help but wasn't happy because the responses don't come fast enough. Sibly allows me to have a text conversation with someone so I can address my issue the second I may have a anxiety attack. Thank you Sibly!

### 5/5 — Looking like something great

*2020-03-22, version 1.18*

Downside: you just have an invitation code from somewhere to use. Not open to public registration.

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2019-10-18, version 1.13*

Help me a lot

### 5/5 — Bitter sweet

*2019-07-17, version 1.11*

I just deleted the app... Five stars to the coach that actually are compassionate and helped me. I deleted the app is because , in my experience, some coaches are simply not qualified to counsel. It takes a lot of time and energy to open up and when the response varies drastically between the coaches, it’s not helpful. Who needs more stress and uncertainty?😕 I will miss the good coaches though.

### 5/5 — A useful tool — but the work is still on you

*2019-07-12, version 1.11*

I used this app over the course of a few months during some extremely hard times in my relationship. Sometimes you have things you need to say to someone but it’s really not in your best interest to open up to anyone you know personally. The level of disconnect with the privacy of a text message allows you to say what you need to say without having to even leave the room. You can get close to instant feedback on your personal situations which can instantly calm you down, and relieve a pressure point.

The app does not give you parental advice — I see many people asking for that in the comments. In reality, if you do get advice for something you can’t think through yourself, you develop a dependency on others to have solutions to your problems. Sibly helps you find YOUR OWN solutions to your problems — solutions you will continue to remember and modify over many years (because they’re yours — not someone else’s prescription). YOU know yourself best, no one else will be able to give you a better answer. Even if you see a therapist and they give you advice, it will never be as good as you putting in the work to really think yourself out of bad mental states. We all have to sooner or later.

That said, Sibly does keep track and encourage methods you find helpful for coping, as well as bring up patterns and qualities about yourself you are too preoccupied to see. It’s a great app. No big commitments. I plan to resubscribe if I run into another life crisis. Try it.

### 5/5 — Phenomenal

*2019-04-23, version 1.10*

Sibly is absolutely astonishing. It has helped with my mental illness ten fold and has allowed me to grow more as an individual & as a human being. Sibly keeps track of all my thoughts, ambitions, and worries- and guides me to a more clear and positive path. I recommend this app to anyone suffering mental illness and would like to have someone there for them 24/7. 10/10.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2019-03-24, version 1.9.10*

One of the best app that helps you to recover
