Easy to upload, easy to comment, give feedback, share with others. They definitely had teachers in mind when they created the app. It has everything you’d need to reflect on your own teaching practices, get feedback from peers, coaches or administrators. I highly recommend Sibme for anyone who is in the field of education. The possibilities are endless with this platform and the support and response from their staff is excellent! ### 5/5 — Instructional Coach with a Coach *2020-04-14* I coach, and I have a coach. Sibme has been the link between my teachers and my coach. I am able to share videos with teachers in a coaching conversation that is grounded in evidence of the instruction that took place in the class. On the other hand, my coach has access to the same videos as she supports me in supporting teachers. I also use Sibme to share my own coaching conversations with my coach. Coaching has been more meaningful, more purposeful, more effective. It’s also great for grade level reflection and collaborative conversations. Teachers can reflect on their own teaching while administrators and/or instructional coaches can give feedback an specific parts of a lesson. It also allows teachers to pick what others view which is huge!!! I love using Sibme. ### 5/5 — Teacher Support *2019-12-23* We use this app to support new teacher’s at the a university level. They use Sibme to video record their teaching to receive coaching from a mentor. Some teachers have difficulty uploading video but usually it is because they filmed outside of the app. The app helps makes the uploading of videos a smooth process. My login info is directly copied from my iPhone’s keychain and is completely correct, yet the system still says my login credentials are incorrect if I try signing in. If I can’t use the app and I start having worse issues, that’s a major part of my student teaching down the drain that I’m going to have to talk to my supervisor about to try and work around it, which is gonna be a major headache and probably gonna cost me a ton of time. ### 1/5 — Sign in issues *2023-08-29, version 12.1* This app has sign in issues- no way to get around it and forces you to use the website directly. ### 1/5 — If I could give less than one star I would *2021-10-12* This app is awful, my whole teaching cohort is having technical issues whether it be uploading or otherwise. I take video within the app and it doesn’t upload. I upload video that I took with camera app and it bugs and e video had no sound. This app is truly terrible and should not be used by universities. **Developer response:** We're so sorry to hear that you've had trouble with uploading videos via the iOS app. Reliability and stability are incredibly important to us, especially for something as important as university assessment. If you haven't already tried to resolve this with our support team, please contact thomash@sibme.com and we'll try and resolve this issue. ### 1/5 — Another app for distance learning fail *2020-06-21* So my daughter’s music teachers decide to use this service to do one on one music class. This app won’t even allow users to connect to the teacher via zoom when using the app on mobile devices ?! It only works on an actual desktop or laptop computer. What?!?! What exactly is the purpose of this app when video conference is used with zoom ?! I believe the music school overspent on this and should have just gone to google meet or zoom . I would have given this whole service 0 stars if Apple let me . Waste of money ### 1/5 — App Crashes *2020-02-09* I started student teaching in January, and as a requirement, I have to record six whole lessons. For the first recorded lesson, the Sibme app worked fine, the video uploaded without a problem, and the recording quality was solid. However, since then, anytime I try using the app to record, it immediately crashes. As soon as I enter my login, the app crashes, and this is putting me behind. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app as the troubleshooting FAQ recommended. In preparing for the upcoming week, the app continues to crash once I try to login. Any help is greatly appreciated! **Developer response:** Our apologies for this frustrating situation. We’ve had a recent version update that resolved this issue on some devices. Please upgrade the app to the most recent version. You can also reach us directly at support@sibme.com. ### 1/5 — Google Sign-In Woes *2020-01-28, version 7.7.4* After getting my password incorrect, I received a message in the app that all devices had been deactivated. I’ve deleted the app, tried signing in using a different google account and I still can’t get into the app. Sibme was highly recommended to me but I can’t even access it to try it out. ### 1/5 — Can’t even create account!!! *2019-12-10, version 7.7.3* Created five different email accounts and still keep getting “invalid username and password”. I never even succeed created account. Absolutely worthless! ### 1/5 — Wish the app had all the functions of webpage. *2019-05-15, version 6.2* I get emails that discussion messages have been posted, but I can never see them on the browser on my phone. It’s extremely frustrating. ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2017-12-06* I cannot stand this app. It is extremely slow to upload videos. At first I would upload videos using my MacBook and it took 4hrs to upload a 45min lesson on to Sibme. I contacted support, they advised me to use google chrome which I was using. I wouldn't use the app on my phone because it would drain my battery, but I had no other choice. When I recorded videos on my phone, Sibme would randomly stop recording. If you are an instructor reading this, please do not have your students submit their assignments through this app as it is unreliable. My classmates have also been struggling with the same issues I've been dealing with. **Developer response:** We're so sorry to hear you've had a frustrating experience. We work hard to make sure our web and mobile apps are able to upload video quickly. Our most recent iOS software for Apple devices is designed to make video uploading as simple as possible. Also, we've fixed several issues that might contribute to a recording interruption on iOS in our recent software updates. We would like to help identify the cause of your slow upload speed. It has been the best choice we’ve made regarding coaching platforms. It is so easy to use, we rarely have technical issues (a big problem with our previous tool), and it has so many features that we can grow into as we evolve our coaching program. This video coaching and collaboration platform allows teachers, coaches, and administrators to use this tool as a mirror (for self-reflection), a window (for sharing video, links, and documents with each other), and a sliding glass door (allowing real-time collaboration between people). You can time-stamp video with comments, ask questions, have a discussion board, and share teaching and learning artifacts. If you don’t know how you might use this, Sibme has online free courses for induction, teaching, coaching, mentoring, and so many others. Their customer service is five stars, and these days that is really hard to find. Using this tool can transform the silos that exist in your building with competing schedules and locations into seamless sharing and collaboration. ### 5/5 — Nkessin *2020-05-13* I started using Sibme last year in my classroom to video tape myself teaching as part of a professional learning assignment. I have been very happy with how easy Sibme is to use and the quality of the videos. I also love how my colleagues can watch the video and type in immediate feedback.
