### 1/5 — Wifi

*2025-03-15, version 2.25*

Wifi use to work all of a sudden it just stopped working and it wont connect again

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2025-02-18, version 2.25*

Cool idea and a sucker to pay for it app doesn’t work it doesn’t even scan the heater for my fish tank

### 1/5 — Literally does not work

*2025-02-13, version 2.25*

Manages to not change the temperature on a contactless heater that you have to be less than an inch from to get a reading. These are a full blown scam.

### 1/5 — Worst heater and app

*2025-01-22, version 2.25*

This is what happens when you don’t do enough research, you end up purchasing a premium product that just doesn’t work . I won’t be using Sicce in the future.

### 1/5 — Worse connectivity

*2024-12-30, version 2.25*

Ok I like the heater. Took me a while to figure out how the app works. There are no instructions anywhere over settings and adjustments. AND if I want to adjust the heater temp, I have to remove the heater from the water so the phone can physically touch the heater for it to connect. It will not connect through the glass. By doing this, unless you turn it off or unplug it, you run the risk of burning yourself. Kind of an unsafe system.

### 2/5 — Not contactless

*2024-12-21, version 2.25*

Not very efficient on being contactless cause you have to take the heater out to scan. Should have put it on. Back side of heater instead of the front I have an iPhone 15 pro

### 1/5 — Hate from PNW

*2024-11-25, version 2.25*

Just wanted to share my internet hate all the way from the Pacific Northwest. The app feature is useless with the heater. Hate out!

### 2/5 — App sync needs work

*2024-10-20*

Heater is constantly not working. Yet been submerged during whole life. Connecting to the heater is the biggest issue and such a challenge. I dislike this product and app. Very difficult to use overall.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2024-10-17, version 2.25*

Having to take heater out of the water to read the water temperature or to change temp is worthless. Checking the water temperature when it is out of the water??? Garbage app for a heater that requires this app. Deleting app and returning the heater.

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2024-07-09, version 2.24*

App always says pump not connected. Reset wifi on pump, no change. Can still control pump with phone but always shows the error. The SDC 9 is a very loud pump. For the price, it’s all round disappointing.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy

*2024-05-30, version 2.24*

This app is literally garbage, what’s the point of having phone control if you have to remove the heater from the tank to adjust the temperature or see metrics. Useless.

### 1/5 — False advertising

*2024-02-20, version 2.24*

Reading the box I thought I was going to get a temperature read out and control the degrees through the phone. No you have to take the thing out of the tank and scan it with your phone every time.

Not that I change the temperature often but for this price I’d rather get one with a physical knob. This is way worse.

### 2/5 — Okay…

*2024-02-02, version 2.21*

I have a heater and it works very well, when I can actually adjust it. The app is terrible. Anytime I want to change the temp, I have to take the heater out of the water after unplugging it because the sensor on my phone doesn’t pick it up how it should. I have an iPhone 13 so I should have no issues. I gave the app two stars because it is not very good.

### 1/5 — Terrible WiFi connectivity

*2024-01-28, version 2.21*

After 9 months of trauma of using this APP and the Xstream SDC controllers, I feel ready to sell them off and buy more AI Nero’s like I should have done in the first place.
The pump controllers are plagued with dropping wifi connections then not re-connecting - I have a dedicated 2.4 channel for all my reef equipment, all of which works faultlessly. Not these though. Features of the APP seem not to work also - who ever heard of a feed button that doesn’t just pause your pumps? Instead, you have to set it as a schedule- ridiculous. After much research on many forums it seems many others have the same issues, and Sicce seems content to keep regurgitating the excuse of ‘our server was down’…
Real shame as the actual pumps are great…

### 1/5 — heater

*2024-01-24, version 2.21*

Would be great if you can change to Fahrenheit

### 1/5 — TRASH DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

*2024-01-07, version 2.21*

YOU CANT EVEN LINK WITH YOUR PHONES YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO HAVE YOUR PHONE TOUCHING THE HEATER TO EVEN GET ANY TYPE OF CONNECTION , TOP IT OFF THE APP LOOKS LIKE IT WAS MADE FOR A IPHONE BACK IN 2006 GO WITH FLUVAL

### 2/5 — Good pump, bad app

*2023-08-23, version 2.20*

I like the features of being able to start stop your pump on the app. The temperature feature is handy too.

Negatives:
-Can’t change the temp from Celsius to Fahrenheit
-App hasn’t been updated for the notch
-Can’t customize feeding mode time length
- Can’t adjust feeding mode speed. It’s either on or off

Sicce, you really need to put some effort and update this app. I’m honestly considering switching to EcoTech because of the lack of support and features for your app.

### 1/5 — This sucks

*2026-07-02, version 2.31*

I bought a sicce contactless heater thinking it would be good it’s not so contactless if you have to keep scanning the heater with phone in order to change any settings on the heater I’m definitely returning this asap will just go with regular heater

### 1/5 — Non function

*2026-06-16, version 2.31*

The app freezes and unable to control after a few days. Very unreliable. Needs major work.

### 1/5 — All gimmick

*2026-04-18, version 2.31*

This touch-less heater is all gimmick. To adjust the temperature you have to pull the heater out of the water by touching it. and physically tap your phone to it. Just give me a manual adjustment.

### 1/5 — Great product, Horrible App

*2026-01-18, version 2.29*

Their pumps and wave makers are amazing! It’s a shame the app is difficult to use, often unresponsive, and makes you question owning the product at all.

### 1/5 — I never review but this one I had to.

*2025-12-06, version 2.28*

This is the most annoying app ever created. I can’t believe such a respected company as Sicce would pay someone for such a pathetic app.
You must remove the unit out of the aquarium every single time you need to adjust it in any way. You have to wrestle with the suction cups and slosh water everywhere, and just when you go to put it back in the tank you notice you have to do it all over again. It is the definition of frustration

### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2025-10-29, version 2.27*

This app stopped working and stopped controlling my pump.

### 1/5 — Will not buy more of these heaters.

*2025-10-21, version 2.27*

There needs to be a manual temperature dial or something because this app is absolutely ridiculous. Either that, or make the app remember the heater so I only have to scan it once. Why should I need to remove the heater from my tank literally every time I want to adjust the temperature? Waste of my time and my money, tbh.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2025-07-02, version 2.25*

Okay product, horrible app

### 1/5 — heater killed $250 of plants

*2025-06-23, version 2.25*

last week I plugged this heater into my new 40 gallon tank, followed all the instructions and set the tank to 78 degrees. I planted some fresh plants in there that I had just bought at a store worth over $250. Over the next 3 days they were basically completely dead and I was going crazy wondering what was happening since all of the water parameters were testing just fine. The app was still telling me the heater was set at 78 so I didn't think much about the temperature, until I stuck my arm in there to start throwing away all the dead plants and realised the tank was FREEZING like ice water, probably around 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit. Are you kidding me? I have no words to describe this trash product and application. Money thrown quite literally into the garbage

### 1/5 — Pretty much useless

*2025-05-19, version 2.25*

Bought a heater to use with the app but to change the heat settings at all you have to touch your phone to the heater every single time you want to adjust something might as well be manual

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love my SDC return pump and ContrAll App

*2023-03-09, version 2.19*

I’ve had the Sicce Syncra SDC 3.0 return pump on my nano for almost 2 years now. Haven’t had any issues at all. The app is very comprehensive and user friendly..

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2023-03-09, version 2.19*

Hands down one of the easiest apps I’ve ever set up and used. Even after power outages turns back on as normal.

### 5/5 — Way better

*2023-03-08*

This app has come a long way since I downloaded it 3 years ago. It’s buttery smooth and there is zero lag. My pumps are doing exactly what they should. I love I can see the temperature of my aquarium from the app.

### 5/5 — App

*2022-05-04, version 2.18*

App works good was easy to set up and instant changes on settings

### 5/5 — Not too bad but needs to be updated

*2020-06-21, version 2.10*

Did not have a hard Time connecting the pump to the app but I don't have temp or power % notice after a week temp showed up but still no power% but still happy so far

### 4/5 — Funktioniert aber viel Luft nach oben

*2025-01-03, version 2.25*

### 4/5 — Very nice device and app

*2021-01-19, version 2.13*

I bought SICCE wave maker for my small bond type fish tank, where I have my gold fish. Main reasons for my purchase were the sophisticated app and temperature monitoring feature. I have few dead corners in my freshwater tank, where I don’t have a lot of water flow. This wave maker will assure that all of the water will circulate through my filter. It works well and I like to check my water temperature diagrams regularly - nice extra feature. There is one small missing feature - a scheduled program, where the wave maker would be off (or 0% power). Minimum speed for all scheduled programs is 5%, which is good for the durability of the pump. However I would like to drive the wave maker every day for 6-12 hours, and then turn it off for the rest of hours, so that my fish would get some peaceful time too. This is currently not possible.

### 3/5 — Handy

*2026-02-28, version 2.30*

Good app. Simple and easy to keep up with. Just need to know if there is a way I can change the temperature reading from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Also, if they want to take this to the next level they need to add a feature to where you can monitor on the go instead of scanning the thermometer every time you need to read it.

### 3/5 — Needs improvement

*2022-12-17, version 2.18*

This app needs improvement

### 2/5 — Not Great

*2026-01-20, version 2.29*

In order to change temperatures you have to keep unplugging the unit & removing it from the aquarium to get a reading with your mobile device. Such a hassle. Why not make it so that I can put my phone up to the glass to scan & be able to change the temperature? For such an expensive device the app should work much better than this.
