## What is Sick Watch?

Know you're getting sick before you feel it.

Sick Watch monitors your overnight health signals – heart rate, HRV, temperature, and breathing – to spot the patterns that appear 1-3 days before illness symptoms.

Based on research from Stanford and UCSF involving 63,000 participants, multi-signal detection can identify illness brewing with 82% accuracy, nearly 3 days before you'd normally notice.

How it works:
- Wear your Apple Watch to sleep
- If you have existing sleep data, predictions start immediately
- New watch owners get early predictions after 7 nights, full confidence at 14
- Get alerted when signals suggest your body is fighting something
- Take action early – rest up, clear your schedule, boost your defences

Features:
- Four-signal monitoring (temperature, HRV, heart rate, respiratory rate)
- Personal baseline (not population averages)
- Automatic alerts when something's brewing
- No iPhone required – runs entirely on Apple Watch
- Privacy-first – all data stays on your device

Requirements:
- Apple Watch Series 4 or later
- watchOS 10 or later
- Series 8+ recommended for temperature monitoring

One-time purchase. No subscription. No ads.

NOTE: Sick Watch is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnoses. It is intended for general wellness purposes only. Always consult a doctor before making any medical decisions.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 2.8 — 2026-02-22

- Improved notification reliability - alerts now fire throughout the day when your signals change, not just at scheduled times
- General stability improvements

### 2.7 — 2026-02-15

Release 2.7 - 15 February 2026

The app now uses HealthKit observer queries instead of relying solely on a 7am scheduled task. When your watch writes new health data to HealthKit (which happens throughout the day), the observer fires, the app re-analyses your signals, and if your state changes, you get a notification immediately.

### 2.6 — 2026-02-12

- Improved onboarding with clearer guidance on daily use
- Fixed text formatting issues throughout the app
- Refined Settings to better explain how alerts work
- General polish and stability improvements

### 2.5 — 2026-02-09

No release notes.
