## What is Sidebar Audio?

Sidebar is an audiobook player with a built-in AI conversation companion.

Import your own audiobooks and listen with a clean, focused player featuring chapters, playback speed, a sleep timer, background audio, and lock screen controls.

Then, whenever something in the book grabs you—or loses you—just ask. Sidebar’s voice AI knows which book you’re listening to, where you are in it, and what you just heard. Catch up on the story, clarify a difficult idea, explore a relevant tangent, or go deeper into the context behind what you’re hearing.

ASK ABOUT YOUR BOOK

“Wait, who is this character again?”
“What did I miss in the last chapter?”
“Can you explain that concept another way?”
“What’s the historical context behind this?”
“How does this connect to what the author said earlier?”

Sidebar responds with awareness of your exact position in the book, helping you understand more without revealing what comes next.

GO BEYOND THE PAGE

Sidebar isn’t only for catching up. Use it to explore ideas, unpack complex topics, learn additional context, and follow your curiosity wherever the conversation leads. It turns nonfiction into a more interactive learning experience—and helps you discover more inside every book.

A PLAYER THAT RESPECTS YOUR LIBRARY

• Import audiobooks from Files, zip archives, or individual audio files
• Chapter navigation, variable playback speed, and sleep timer
• Background playback with lock screen controls
• Your books stay organized in one focused library

SPOILER-SAFE BY DESIGN

The AI companion only discusses events up to your current listening position unless you explicitly ask for spoilers.

Playback is free. The AI companion requires a subscription at $6.99 per month and includes a 7-day free trial.
