## What is Sidekick Navigation + Dashcam?

Sidekick is a driving companion with turn-by-turn navigation, multi-provider route comparison, dashcam recording, toll-road prompts, weather, and optional gas price info for your route.

After switching navigation audio between loudspeaker and Bluetooth, volume is set to 80% so guidance stays easy to hear.

### 1.5.47 — 2026-08-30

• Fewer permission prompts at launch — Always location, motion, and notifications are requested only when you enable visit tracking
• Camera permission is requested only when dashcam recording is turned on
• Travel direction indicator, Bluetooth loudspeaker toggle, and navigation audio routing improvements

Map FAB and ETA card taps no longer knock navigation off center. On iPhone, the loudspeaker toggle routes guidance to the bottom speaker instead of the earpiece.

Configurable speeding reminders during navigation. On lower posted limits, Sidekick alerts by km/h overage; on higher limits, by percent over. Includes a visual banner plus a short chime and haptic feedback. Thresholds are adjustable in Settings.
