Sideline Legend is the simple game-day companion for youth soccer coaches. Set your roster, start the clock, and let the app handle fair substitutions so every player gets equal time on the pitch. See your whole lineup out on the field, keep score as the goals go in, and let the app save the result — and you can focus on coaching. MANAGE YOUR TEAM • Build your roster with names, jersey numbers, and preferred positions • Mark who's at today's game with one tap, and flag injuries • Add a team name and a team photo or logo that greets you on the splash screen RUN THE MATCH CLOCK • Set your format: minutes per half, number of halves, and players on the field (7-, 9-, or 11-a-side) • Automatic halftime pause — one tap starts the next half • A big, clear clock with time remaining and a per-half progress bar FAIR SUBSTITUTIONS, AUTOMATICALLY • The app rotates your bench on a smart interval so playing time stays even across the squad • Goalkeepers are left in place, so your keeper isn't shuffled into the outfield by accident • A pre-rotation heads-up gives you a few seconds to get subs ready, then a clear alert when it's time • Prefer to do it yourself? Tap any player to sub them on or off, or hit "Rotate" for an instant fair swap • A full-time report shows exactly how many minutes each player got SEE YOUR LINEUP ON THE FIELD • Switch between Field and List whenever you like — the sorted roster you already know is still there • On Field, every player is a circle carrying their name, their minutes played, and a role chip (LB, CM, RF) for where they're standing • Drag a player onto a team-mate to swap them, or onto open grass to move them somewhere new — the role chip re-labels itself • Drag someone down to the bench to take them off, or drag a bench player on to send them out — or just tap the two players instead, which is easier with cold hands • Formation presets from 4-a-side to 11-a-side, or drag out a shape of your own; the header reads your formation back off the field, like 1-3-3-2 • Any sub you make here can be undone for 12 seconds, and moving players about never disturbs the fair-minutes maths KEEP SCORE, KEEP THE RECORDS • Tap + on the scoreboard and the goal is on the board straight away; name the scorer afterwards, or not at all • Tap the score to open the goal log — add a goal nobody logged, name a scorer you skipped, or swipe away a mis-tap • Pick your Man of the Match at full time; the picker puts everyone who hasn't won it yet at the top, with each player's season tally, so the award gets shared around the squad • Every finished game is saved to Records with the score, the scorers, the Man of the Match, and everyone's minutes — all still editable later, so you can type the opponent in on the drive home • A season summary: games played, won, drawn and lost, goals for and against, a form guide, and the Man of the Match tally for the whole squad • Copy any result — or the whole season — to the clipboard, or share it as plain text so it reads properly in any team chat ALERTS THAT REACH YOU ON A BUSY SIDELINE • A chime and a buzz at each rotation — heard even on silent and over your music • Adjustable heads-up lead time, or turn the sound off entirely • The clock keeps perfect time even if you put your phone away, and notifications tell you when to rotate or break for halftime — so you never miss a sub BUILT FOR THE SIDELINE • Works on iPhone and iPad • 100% offline — no internet connection needed • No ads. SEE YOUR TEAM ON THE FIELD Tap Field in the toolbar and your lineup appears on a pitch, one circle per player with their minutes and a role chip. Drag a player onto a team-mate to swap them, onto open grass to move them, or down to the bench to take them off — or tap the two players instead of dragging. Formation presets run from 4-a-side to 11-a-side, and the fair-minutes rotation carries on untouched. SCORE AND MAN OF THE MATCH Tap + and the goal is on the board; name the scorer later, or not at all. Tap the score to open the goal log and fix a mis-tap. At full time, pick your Man of the Match — the picker puts whoever hasn't won it yet at the top, so it goes round the squad. RECORDS A new tab. Every finished game is saved with the score, the scorers, the award and everyone's minutes, plus a season summary you can copy or share. Results stay editable, so you can type the opponent in later. As always: 100% offline, no ads, no accounts, and nothing collected. Have a great season! ### 1.1 — 2026-06-20 We fixed a bug where force closing the app did not preserve the game state for when the app is reopened. This did not stop the prescheduled notifications.
