## What is Sidr?

Arabic type, shaped correctly.

Sidr does one thing: it makes your Arabic look the way Arabic is supposed to look on video — letters properly connected, diacritics in the right places, and typefaces designed for Arabic rather than adapted to it.

Anyone who has typed Arabic onto a clip knows the problem. Letters come out disconnected or reversed, or they come out in a typeface that does the language no favours. The usual workaround is to reverse the text on some external site and paste the result back — at which point it stops being text. You cannot edit it, fix a typo in it, or change its typeface. It has become a picture.

Sidr does not work that way. Your text stays text, from the first letter to the export.
