J’aurais pu envisager un achat ponctuel de 10, voire 20€, mais en format abonnement c’est tout simplement scandaleux. On finit avec une app qui nous aura coûté plusieurs centaines d’euros sur quelques années… alors que j’ai déjà dépensé plus d’un millier d’euros de matériel aputure ! This app was barely usable when it was 12/year or even free. Even if it worked properly, 129.99/year is crazy. ### 2/5 — No Cues for Sidus BT Fixures *2024-10-08* This seems like such a massive omission. I don’t understand why Sidus Link Pro can’t create cues with both DMX and Sidus BT lights. I had to download the AMARAN app to get what I wanted because Quickshots in regular Sidus Link load extremely slow. Maybe I’m missing something bc I’m not a lighting technician by trade, but it seems like these apps are missing some major common sense features Additionally, running Sidus BT lights through the Sidus One box appears to introduce some lag **Developer response:** The way that Bluetooth and DMX communicate is very different—DMX is a constant stream, while Bluetooth sends one command at a time. Sidus link worked fine. I don’t need an app that has a weeks long learning curve and still doesn’t control the same lights I had working with the old app. It has been nothing but trouble shooting. Don’t do me any favors like this. Thx. ### 1/5 — Puts basic hardware functionality behind a paywall *2026-06-15* Even after purchasing all my Aputure lights and the Sidus One CRMX controller Aputure STILL blocks the CRMX functionality I already paid for behind an ongoing paywall. This reminds me of when BMW put their heated seats behind a monthly subscription. What’s the point of purchasing CRMX lights and a CRMX controller if I have to pay extra indefinitely to use it? ### 1/5 — “Thanks for the update” *2026-03-20* All my presets stopped working. And the backup says it’s not supported by the new version. Awesome! **Developer response:** I hear you, and I am so incredibly sorry. That is a major setback to your workflow, and we take full responsibility for that.Currently, you can copy the files to a new folder as a temporary workaround to get them running. Just wanted to let you know that we’ve already pinned down the bug. We are currently finalizing a patch to fix both the preset failure and the backup support issue. You can expect a small update to roll out in the next day or two to get everything back to normal. Again, my sincerest apologies for the headache. Been through multiple Sidus Four Units. This is Alpha stuff at best not even close to “Production ready”. Get Blackout. Get Cerise. Cant get five of my six lights to connect, never had a problem with the origional app. This is the kind of garbage that makes users switch ecosystems. First off, this app says “pro” for a reason. It’s not just to control lights wirelessly and make them change to pretty colors. It is immensely more than that and was built for people that are ready to expand on production lighting at an affordable cost. For me, I own several different brands of lights along with Aputure and Amaran that I want to have control of all at once. So for me, CRMX, was the way to go. Also creating presets and key frames for lighting transitions was also essential. This does all of that with no issues, at least in my experience, and more. I get the frustration that you spend money on a light, so why pay more money? But that’s not the purpose of this app. It’s built to compete with Blackout and other control systems that are a lot more expensive. If you want to just wirelessly control a light, there are other free apps for it, like Amaran or Sidus. But this will take your lighting to a pro, production level, like it’s helped me do. If you have any other questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out! ### 4/5 — No Multi Pixel control *2024-05-17, version 1.0.1* Everything about this app is incredible and so well put together, I enjoy it more than blackout due to its nicer looks. However when patching in a dmx profile for a fixture with multiple pixels, the app will ignore the separate channels and control all the pixels at once instead of assigning them to an individual slider, essentially wasting dmx channels and giving you one pixel control.
