Glitchy, non-intuitive, slow. Feel held hostage as it is the only app for Seidel system. Seidel provides no user manual. If my iPhone is set to vibrate then I only receive a single ping that is easy to miss. Whose phone only rings once? If my phone is not set to vibrate then the situation is a little better but why should anyone be forced to have their phone set to ringer all of the time. ### 2/5 — Nice idea but slow and unreliable *2021-11-24* When it works, it is great. But it works less than half the time. It is very slow so visitors end up punching another button which deactivates the first request before you can respond. And the software periodically disconnects and takes days to get the company to reconnect. It is very expensive so it really should work much better. Sadly it will take a decade to convince our building to upgrade. If you are thinking about it, wait until it works or try a different product as you will be stuck with it for years and the company doesn’t stand by the product. ### 3/5 — Pretty good, but limited. *2021-06-22* I just had the system installed and it does work well. The notifications are pretty much instant and opening the door works well. HOWEVER, although the indoor unit records pictures, I don’t understand what the VIDEO MEMORY is for on the app if the images aren’t saved and can be recalled later? I’ve directly emailed support but haven’t received a response. Would be a much higher rating but given the cost of the system, you’d think this would be an option to see who rang the bell. Also, don’t understand why I can’t turn on the camera from the app but can from the monitor inside the house. This should also be included. ### 3/5 — Bare bones! *2019-12-14* (Thanks for adding iPad support in the latest version!) Pros - easy to enroll with the new QR code, and I hope an opportunity to have one app they can invest energy in and make great. It’s been generally reliable and has a high quality voice connection. Cons - no ability to monitor a door camera without calling it (which was previously available), no support for any switching functions outside of the light (the Siedle analog phone interface has better support of this).
